So me and FashionDr from the forumns were just chilin' in LC when a couple of guys who were up to no good started makin' trouble in our TRS neighborhood.

So FashionDR was like, "Fuck dem bitches." and I was like "Hell yah nig." We got chased by the PO-lice. But then later that night we got our vengence. Finally we rode off into the sunset -- in a totally hetero kind of way of course.

In all seriousness though. It was mad fun. I'd like to get a planned online multiplayer shindig going sometime. Any takers?

Also if you got any funny or interesting GTA IV stories. I'd sure like to hear 'em. Post 'em here!

i wish i had recorded this. craziest thing i've seen in my 2 days of online capabilities (what the hell is up with no network connection in game? fix that plz, kthx.) is as follows:

my brother and i were playing some free mode and had like 4 stars going. i'm running away from some cops and a police chopper, he's 4 blocks away. i start to head east. shit, cops. so i turn around and head west. FUCK, more cops! so i pull out my pistol (haha) and duck behind some cover to try and fire fight my way out. suddenly out of nowhere the police chopper hovering overhead SLAMS to the ground on top of the police cars killing 6 cops and blowing up their patrol cars.

i sprint away to kill more hookers and grandmothers, unscathed.

edit: forgot to mention, it was my brother and his pinpoint rocket accuracy that saved my ass.

This is exactly what I want to do. I haven't gotten to run around in free roam mode with anyone yet. I'm going to gather up people to friend from the TRS forums now.

Dunno about that; the GTA4 player base on the 360 is pretty huge. My (pretty tame) friends list (which includes a fair number of TRS fans) is full of people playing GTA4.

Yeah I'd love to do a big multiplayer thing but I'm one of the 360 guys. We'd have to make two threads for this kind of thing.

I haven't played multiplayer yet. I'm dying to do it one of these days though.

EDIT: Do you guys think free roaming is better with or without cops? I'm not sure if either one is better. Cops will prevent from really going crazy on people in all sorts of ways, but they can be fun for a bit after experimentation is done. I figure both can be boring, but maybe without cops, you get to experiment with doing crazy stuff. I guess then switching to cops may be fun for screwing with the cops?

If you just want to explore and try out different things then I would say no cops but I'm excited to get on with a few of my friends and blow the crap out of Liberty City with a 6 star wanted level.

I've only played online a little bit (trying to get through the single player first) but cops and crooks is a lot of fun.

not having a mic was pretty awesome, because we started to understand eachother without words, and alliances started to form and enemy alliances also formed till we were team deathmatching it out in the middle of the city.

Yeah, I got my copy today and I'm psyched to really get a good game going with some Radlings. I was free-roaming with QuietCitizen (Hellfighter on here), MacBstard, and some others earlier, and played some Team Death Match later (like nobodysleeps said).

We need to figure out a back-up, in case there are connection problems. I figure that, if someone can't get in (tonight was quite possibly because I was hosting, and I'm wireless) they should just start their own and invite people in. Something like that. FashionDR, I think that may be the same problem for us w/COD4. If you ever can't get in w/my invitation, just send me one instead.

I really like how you can just start Party Mode, and invite people in. In there, you can just mess around and do whatever. But, from there you can also jump into whatever kind of game you feel like doing. TDM was awesome, but it would have been SWEET if, like, 5 or 6 of us were ganging up on some fools!

A friend and I were playing the other night for about an hour when I realized that we hadn't even started a proper game yet, so much more fun that the COD4 lobby where you watch the countdown while some random 12 year olds tell you how gay you are for shooting them in the face so many times...
