Hey Conor, I hope you got some Medical Medicine
Since the shooting schedule of iFanboy is always a mystery, I'm hoping that Conor is already over the worst of the cold. However, since this is a new comics edition, that may not be true.
Excess covers, chicken soup and DVDs of his favorite junk shows for this man.
Stat!
I'm calling House. On the downside, he'll nearly kill you running through a series of treatments that fall into the "oops" column of educated guesses. On the upside, you'll be cured (eventually) and may be attended to by a couple of really beautiful (if emotionally dysfunctional) doctors.

Will there be (or has there been and I have missed it?) Marvel Boy talk, during the Week of Grant Morrison festivities? I really need someone to comment on that book. It has been eight years and I still feel like parts of that book has gone way over my head. I'd appreciate some iFanboy insight.

I don't remember a whole lot about it but I remember not finding Marvel Boy particularly likeable...

I've been meaning to dig it out of my back issues. This seems like the best time to do so.

Originally, Josh was going to write about Marvel Boy but he decided to go in another direction at the last minute.

Hey, there's always a chance that Hickman will! :)

I didn't get to Marvel Boy for this week, but I will.
That's a promise. Look for it sometime in the future.

Marvel Boy was a very difficult read. I forgot most of it, to be honest. I remember Marvel Boy being dense, yet...fast. In a manner of speaking. The series felt like it rushed by at a thousand miles an hour.

See, now I want to offer my thoughts, but I'm gonna save it.
Gotta make a living, you know?

I love We3! I read that comic at least every few months. Can't wait to see what the film is going to look like.

Arkham Assylum is my new favorite Batman book. I haven't finished it yet, but this is like....this is love.
I love the characterization of the Joker and Two Face. The dice? The playing cards? That's such a smart idea. Morrison and McKean trump any other writer/artist pairing I've come across. I love this.
I may have to go and dig up my copy of Batman #663.

Just a quick compliment for Josh; I like the new haircut.
Reminds me I need to get one myself. Don't want to be sweating like a pig in this upcoming summer weather.

I just watched the New Comics Preview episode (i know, im a bit late) but i had a bit of a suggestion for the iFanboys. It's all well and good to hear about what books you guys are excited for, but what about a focus on books that would fall under the radar of the average Comic book fan? Most people know about Detective Comics and Avenger/Invaders but what i found really useful was the Man With No Name preview, a book that i would normally miss out on. I think if you guys could focus more on books like this rather than the bigger name books, the New Comics Preview mini could really be a useful tool for any pre-Wednesday comic book purchasing.
What do you think?

I like the fact that they talk about the ones they like. It's kind of hard to "pimp" a book you personally aren't looking forward to.
The last few weeks always seem to have at least one of the three picks set up as the Under the Radar type pick.

I completely understand that POV, but the way i see it is we get to hear about their anticipated books on Sunday when the Podcast drops, it's not really info i need to know right away. Under the Radar books on the other hand are VERY useful to know ahead of time. If i hear the boys talking about a book before i go to my shop, i'll more than likely pick it up. I HATE it when i miss out on a great indy POW because i've never heard of the book or the creative team before hand, but if it was on the New Comics Preview, it would solve the problem (of course this wouldn't ALWAYS work though, but in the case of Glamourpuss.....). But hey, if im in the minority, i'll back off, i just thought it would be a useful suggestion that would help us in the iFanbase who don't get a chance to read very many indy or non-conventional comic books

You aren't way off, brother.
I get where you're coming from. Honestly it could be another Mini day all together. One day could be their most anticipated, and another could be the off the radar picks? That could actually eat up one of the days of new content.

Some weeks it will work that the book we're looking forward to is under the radar, and sometimes they'll be big books, just like the POW can be either Pretty Baby Machine, or Green Lantern.
It depends on which way the wind's blowing my friend.
The backup is the weekly comics thread on iFanboy monday nights.

i forgot about the weekly thread, good stuff. But anyway i still think it's something to keep in mind, it's nice to see actually panels and hear a description of the books themselves. either way though, it works fine

The biggest problem with highlighting indie books on the shipping mini is that often they don't come out and we get burned. It happened three weeks in a row. We tell people a book is going to come out and then it doesn't and people get annoyed. Indie books have unreliable shipping schedules.
