So IFanbase,
I think we can all agree that Morrison Week has been a resounding success and I was curious who was at the top of tour list for future theme week. Naturally, the trouble is trying to come up with a creator whas has a divirse and comphresive body of work. I'll Toss a few out there and let's see what we can come up with, shall we? Also Let's brainstorm some feature etc.
By the by Josh Conor and.or Ron are welcome to join the fun and/or mege this with other threads if it is deemed a waste of bandwith.
1. Mike Allred (Madman, X Statix, The Golden Plates and some other work I'm forgetting.
2.Erik Larsen (Savage Dragon, Amazing Spideman, plus the exploration of the "Publisher Role, etc.
3. The Marvel Braintrust (Guys like Millar, Bendis, Brubaker, Quesada, Slott)
4. Will Eisner (Nuff Said)
Features:
IFanboy Secret Origins Saturday show- straight up or mockumentsry style a la Spinsl Tap
Feature on retailers: Hanley's Universe Isotope etc.
Crosovers: Within Revision 3, a Totally Rad shoe might be cool. If the contracts eould allow it, maybe a crosover with Blair Butler of Fresh Ink etc. She has pointed me in the direction of some gems and she knows her comics.
Whew that's all for new. Discuss!

It's probably more of an idea for the Saturday video show, but I think it'd be neat to go back and take a look at some of the "events" from the past. Infinity Gauntlet, and Crisis on Infinite Earths come immediately to mind.

Yeah I was waiting on someone to say "We're getting a voicemail" when Josh joked about Bru co-writing all of his books. ;)

I just scoured through the video show archive. I was sure that this was already an episode, but I can't find it. Am I crazy?

Not in the past, no.
Infinity Gauntlet is in this coming week's show and Crisis very soon after.

Didn't you do a broad overview of events around the time you reviewed 53 and Civil War?
I'm in a time flux.
Conor, quick, be my constant.

Sad part is, I did the exact same thing.

Too young for CoIE. But Infinity Gauntlet rocked my 11 year old world.

It's only Tuesday...I mean, shit could take a turn is all I'm saying.
And Crisis and Infinity Gauntlet...damn, you're like the guy who predicted exactly what the new website would be like.
This Morrison week was fun to put together definitely, and I can't imagine we won't do more like it, but it'll probably be a little while. But keep the ideas coming. We definitely read it, and take note.

A character week would be cool. Flash week?
I also really liked the "Pitch" episode. Not that you should give out your ideas for great stories, I'd love to hear a similar kind of analysis. Armchair comic editor, I guess. How would you fix the Flash book, for instance?

I might get slack for it but I'd like to see you guys do something Archie related. I don't know much about the history of the characters or company or anything related and I think that speaks true for most of us. It'd be interesting to see what creators got started there or if there are any essential Archie reads.
Let the mocking begin!

Might try again.

Geoff Johns week?
Best "Return" episode?
An episode about legacy heroes?

I know there was the Sketch episode, but I would really like an Art episode. We know how you gentlemen feel about certain styles, but I would really like to see who your favorites are. You could probably pick your favorite series/books by that particular artist.

People seem to be focusing on writers. What about focusing on characters. Say focusing on The Green Lantern, Batman, X-Men, or Spider Man. A week dedicated to favorite moments, lows, and histories of the character. I'd be interested in seeing the boys' perspectives on some of these characters.
Barry Allen week maybe=).

Great minds...
I think a really great show idea would be...
Top 10 Greatest Comic Moments of All Time!
It would be like the top 50 sports type shows, but would feature raucus debate, mockery, and controversy. It's the perfect mix!
In terms of themes, I think character themed weeks would be cool, especially leading up to movie releases. It would really get a lot of us juiced for what's next.
Lastly, I want to give major props to Conor for his "It Came from Storage" episode. That was loads of fun, and more episodes in this vein would be great.

What would be awesome is a Jack Kirby episode/week or just about his Fourth World creation.

Follow up to the G.I. Joe episode where you read and discuss the Image and Devil's Due runs.
Speculation as to how the Captain America and Avengers movies will effect the comics (like Spider-Man "back in black" when Spider-Man 3 hit theaters).

Character Week Seems Like a Solid Idea. Established characters I.e. Batman etc could be broken down by decade should our hosts feel so inclined.
The Best shows are the quirky ones in which the IFanboys are outside the set. Maybe at the end of the summer , the Ifanboys could hit the pavement and ask random people on the street basic comics knowledge to see ig the movies are hsving the desired effect og raising consciouness. Josh and Connor could cover New York, Ron could handle SF, and Gordon could hit up Indiana.

Woops sorry. I tend to just read the last page of comments(and guess what your comment was on the previous page... I'm an evil person). Heres another idea.
Bizzaro Week- All of the podcasts are given in the form of Bizzaro speak(everythings backward). "This week the Flash was the best comic I have ever read."
