Is it just me, or has there been a decrease in the quality of the physical production of comics recently? There was the issue with a poorly stapled issue of Cable recently. The last issue of Salvation Run that I got was half duplicate pages and when I went to the store to get one to replace it, they were all like that. I just got Secret Invasion #2 and about a quarter of one page has what looks like a big ink smudge all the way down it. I also got a noticeable ink smudge in my issue of Invincible Iron Man #1. Am I just imagining that these printing/production problems are getting worse?

Quebecor World, the leading printer for the comics industry, has recently filed for bankruptcy, which may have something to do with it. I haven't really noticed anything myself.

In the last couple of months, I have gotten two books where the middle page had torn from the staples and would come out. I have also gotten a book or two that has had pages stuck together.

My issue of Titans #1 had so much excess ink that it was running off of the pages that smelled suspiciously like dog doo-doo.

I know this isn't a printing issue but it defently falls under the F* up catagory in Green Lantern 27 there is a word ballon going to the wrong character that totally threw me off. I just read that last night and I think there was some talk about it on one of the shows a couple months ago. But still how do you not catch that? Luckly it was a solid issue otherwise I would grumble some more.
