Just wondering if anyones seen the movie called Gamers?
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0485909/

Just got it and I'll check it out when I get a chance. Funny tag line though

"The Obsession, The Sacrifice, The Blind Dedication, This is their True Story

For the last 23 years, they have lived life to the fullest...in the fantasy world."

Also, this movie isn't to be confused with the awesome production that is "The Gamers"

Which is a must see for any D&D fan. Seriously funny stuff.

The thread that finally forces me to join the forums.

Although I haven't seen either of those flicks, you MUST see Monster Camp http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0970948/

Basically, its a documentary about LARPing (Live action roleplaying). I had heard about this stuff, but never actually knew how dedicated these people were. I thought I was going to just laugh at the entire movie, and how hardcore these people were, but the doc does a great way of showing just how much everyone loves what they're doing.

One of the most entertaining documentaries I've seen, if you can locate it you must give it a watch.

Glad to get you out of the lurking status ;)
That docu looks awesome! I don't LARP but am fascinated how grown adults can dress up on the weekends and play out fantasy games in real life (tm).

These are right up there with King of Kong and Real Life: I'm a Gamer.

King of Kongs is one of my favourite docs of all time. Although after reading about the aftermath and how the director's may have been stretching just how bad of a guy Billy Mitchell really was, I have mixed feelings. Still, nothing can change the amount of enjoyment I got out of it on my first viewing.

Looks like I'll be watching that Gamers movie soon, thanks for the heads up.
