Is a DS Lite worth getting before Christmas?

I am aware of the cycle of obsolescence, and I think the DS lite may be succeeded soon. The good news is that games will probably become cheaper, but I want to know whether it's worth buying one at Christmas.

There is no new DS coming anytime soon so go out and buy one. You will really love all the games that are available for it. Much better than the PSP games.

DS is here for a while,Nintendo currently has no plans to relase another and there is no reason to as DS is selling like no other..at gamestop we have to restock our shipment every week while PSP we still have the same stock we had months ago.

Def get a DS lite the games are very much worth it.:D

I seriously doubt that they will be releasing a new version of the DS so soon after the launch of the Wii this weekend, If it were to happen It would be somewhere around late Q2-Q3 of next year. But I seriously doubt they'll venture to a new handheld while the DS is doing so great at the moment.

Yeah my girlfriend wants me to get Brain Age so she can steal my DS and play it all the time. Looks like a cool game, but if I get it, it might be the last I see of my DS.

There a rumor circulating in the rumor mill about another update to the DS although I'd take it with a grain of salt. Apparently, the screen's going to increase from 3 inches to 3.5-3.8 inches.

I guess a bigger screen is better but if it's at the cost of battery life then I think it's not worth it. Plus, bigger screen doesn't mean higher res.

I'd recommend getting the DS now though. There's tons of awesome Nintendo DS homebrews (like DSOrganize (http://www.dragonminded.com/?loc=ndsdev/DSOrganize)) that makes it worth it.

Not sure if I can talk about that here though cause it could lead to "sharing". :D

I hope it gets bigger. Frankly, I have trouble using the DS-lite because my hands are so big.
