I loved the games and I was really looking forward to the movie when it was first rumored, but this just doesn't look promising.

I could see Mark as Max. I mean he's got the look if he scrunches his face. I think he could pull it off.

First of all, the game has a great story, unlike most games. So I think it could stand on it's own well. The game was very dark and helter skelter even. And most of us played it a long time ago so we don't really remember most of it. And to the general public they'd have no idea.

I don't know about the director, John Moore, the guy who directed the movie Flight of the Phoenix, if he would be able to pull it off though. But he did do Behind Enemy Lines which is a movie loved.

So we'll see. I bought Max Payne movie stock on HSX.com for $40.40 a month or two ago and it's only gone up to $41.54 today, lifetime 2%.

In other new, my Thor stock went up 66%.

The story is the reason I've been waiting for this ever since I played the game and the director and writers have a lot of potential, but the casting just disappoints me. Marky Mark has done some decent work, but I just can't see him playing a character as dark and nihilistic as Max (I hope he proves me wrong) and neither Mila Kunis nor Cris O'Donnell (who's playing a character that's not in the game BTW) could act their way out of the proverbial paper bag.
Also, judging from the pictures I've seen, it looks like they shot a lot of it during the day which will ruin the atmosphere. Maybe I'm too much of a purist as far as the source material goes, but I just can't see any good coming from this. Having said all that, I'll have to see it opening day anyway.
