Hi TRS forum ppl!

I live in Cheltenham, England but will be visiting my Dad who lives in Bradford, Ontario, Canada, during the first 2 weeks of June.

Do any of you guys live in Toronto or in the vicinity of it?

Would any of you guys be up for a couple of drinks plus watching a new ep of TRS on a laptop in a bar?

I've been to Canada a few times before and will have use of my Dad's car so I can travel a bit, but obviously this means no drink-driving, so maybe TRS plus Pizza Pizza, Mary Brown's or Wimpy's Diner?

By the way, Wimpy's Diner FTW!

Andy Aldrich, eh?

I'm in Toronto, and if you're around when I don't have work or am up at the cottage I'm totally there. you should coral tux into this, he's great at organizing. keep in mind that Toronto is miles away from where you're going, and I for one can only really stay in the core of the city.

I may be in canada as well around the 13th of June. The Band that i'm in has a stand-by slot for the North by Northeast music Fest. I'm really hoping we get the spot I would love to see Canada.

if you're coming let me know and I'll clean up a bit, maybe put the welcome mat out at the border for you.

I went to the advanced search and searched for a user called tux but there is no such person...am I being immensely dim?

I have to buy my Dad a load of PC gear and he refuses to go online to Tiger Direct. Where can I go other than Best Buy or Future Shop where I can get good gear at close to web prices?

I can get to Toronto without any probs, Bradford isn't too far from Newmarket (IMO) and that's not too far from Toronto I guess, so I could just take the GO bus from Newmarket. I'll have the use of my Dad's car so I can park that at the GO station. I don't really want to drive into the city in a car that's not mine, so that's why I'll take the GO.

I want to see some bands whilst I'm over there...any recommendations of any good gigs coming up? Anything rock or metal will be fine. Any venues you can recommend?

I might see if I can get some Blue Jays tickets. Last time I saw them (dunno when) they lost but it's still a good afternoon out.

I'm not sure if NCIX has stores in Toronto but they have the best prices in Canada at this time.

ah, I see, TuxOtaku, you should log into the chat, we're in there

can't suggest much in the way of bands, that's not really my scene. In terms of magazines with info about what's going on check www.eye.net and www.nowtoronto.com
they are like a really really junior version of Time Out magazine.

Actualy wrong bongo secondo

NCIX price matches so tech it would be the same price as that site.

They price match both Us and Canadian stores I believe but this I cant confirm.

But then again I'm not sure they have stores in the Toronto area... from the site its all BC so go with his choice
