Taye Diggs new show on ABC premiered last night. Did anyone happened to watch it?
I thought the show was pretty good. It was a mix of 24 and Memento rolled into one show. The acting was not too far fetched, Walter Skinner from X-Files plays a detective on the show. You have to also love the fact that it's shot in L.A. Enough of my rant on the show, tell me what you thought of show.

I thought it had potential, although their is a very good chance it could quickly become very, very bad. Personally I hope they just do 1 season with a complete ending, cause I don't see how they can draw it out for much more. However, I do love the reliving the same day idea. Good ol' Groundhog Day.

Yes, that's what I liked about it. I'm glad only 11 episodes. Like you said it will get old soon, if they go in the wrong direction.

My understanding is that this is a one off season, and that he does eventually get through the day - and by the time he has saved the court clerk from the bus, solved the case of the dead DA and why his witness was attacked, had the IA charges dismissed against his partner, saved his sister, figured out who the bads guys are and what they want, and avoided getting killed in the process ... he is going to want to have a good sleep in.
Its not a particularly new idea. There was a StarGate episode like this, as well as the movie Groundhog Day, and the general plot line could have been lifted from 24 ... but it is a fresh package for this type of show, is well acted, and is quite watchable.
