Too all my fellow Radlings and WoW Heads. I have lost access to my wow account. I can not get blizzard on the phone and I have to sit by and wait for a email response.

At 9:14am today I got this email. This is an automated notification regarding the recent change(s) made to your World of Warcraft account ###########. Your password has recently been modified through the Account Management website.

I tried to login and change my password but I was unable. I could not even change it via answering my security question. It must have been changed also.

Then at 10:26 I got this: This message is being sent to confirm that all credit card information has been removed from the World of Warcraft account ##########, effectively cancelling its recurring subscription as of May 17, 2008 5:26 PM UTC. The account will not bill or renew any further unless new payment information (credit card or game card) is manually entered in.

Then at 10:30 I got this: You have successfully submitted a request for the Paid Character Transfer service, to be performed for your characters on your World of Warcraft account: ##########.
Here is the list of characters which will be transferred during this process:
- ADIEMUS - Level 70 Human Mage on Sentinels - moving to Eitrigg.

I have 3 level 70's but this is my main. I know there is not much you guys can do to help me with this. I only hope that Blizzard can get this all fixed or my days in Azeroth will be over. If there is anyone on this Forum that knows anyone at Blizzard that can run up the flag for me that would be Totally Rad. I would also be greatful to anyone who creates a toon on Eitrigg and spams Adiemus about being a stolen account.

Punching out,
Dan

well why dont you go on the wow forums? you could get blizzards as well as wow junkies attention pretty quick, if they dont help you best thing to do is to say f*** blizzard and switch to AoC, it comes out on monday and is way better than wow. wow is slowly dieing, the expansions not gonna be that good. really sorry that happend buddy, i hope you get it sorted out.

We could all start leveling Horde toons on Eitrigg and try to harass him into flagging himself. :D

Wow, that sucks. If you haven't already I'd run a virus/spyware scan pronto, as keyloggers are a common tool to steal account info. Also, Blizzard has a pretty good past about restoring hacked chars/items so I hope it all works out for you... I know how much time it takes to get to 70 and I would be seriously pissed if someone took all that work away from me.

Oh no! That completely sucks. I would be crazy upset if my account was hacked and my toons were gone. I'm not on that server, but hopefully, everthing will work out and you'll get your account back. It HAS happened, so stay hopeful!

My friend just had the same thing happen to him.....Stripped all his characters and put all of it on his main and transferred it to a different server. He talked to blizzard and they got him pretty much all his gear back minus potions and they also gave him back his gold plus some compensation for the potions and stuff they couldn't replace....

This is freaky. It's like they kidnapped your character!

Blizzard sent me this email today:

Please be patient as we work to resolve your issue; under normal circumstances it will take about one week to complete the reversal. However, certain realm and/or account issues may extend the process. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes, and thank you again for your patience in this matter.

Please be sure to scan the computer system you are using to remove all viruses, Trojan files, and key loggers. For more computer/Internet safety and security tips, please visit http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?articleId=20572.

For the continued security of the account, please log in at https://www.worldofwarcraft.com/account and take the following steps:
· Verify that your contact information is accurate; update it if necessary.
· Create a new, not-easily guessed, secure personal password; http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?articleId=21130 has password creation tips.

The problem is I can not access my account page. I think they are missing the point. If I could login to my account management i would have changed my password and the person that hacked my account would no longer have access. oh well... At least I got a response.

Thanks for all the kind words of support.

Dan
