I have finally decided to sell my Wii on eBay. Honestly, the only reason I am selling it is because of the fact that I am a hardcore gamer, and for me the Wii is just too kid-ey. Yes I have played Zelda and Smash Bros. Brawl, but to me there just aren't enough games to satisfy my hardcore game needs. I really, really want to play GTA4 and am dying to play MGS4. And as being a college student, I simply cannot afford to have to systems right now. I am going to purchasing the MGS4 PS3 bundle (not the limited edition) when released when I sell the Wii. If anyone wants to take a peek at the HUGE bundle I am selling, here ya go:

I've been thinking of selling mine, too. I never use it and I started out wanting to love it above all, but the reality is, I never want to play anything out on the Wii. I just decided to keep it for a bit longer once I checked out what Wii Ware was. Now I'll investigate that and consider if I'm selling or not. I have one of those huge bundles, too.

Can't say I'm surprised. I wouldn't advise you to keep it if it's not satisfying to you. I've considered selling mine as well, but I have to wait for Icarus at least.. Metroid Prime 3 was awesome, but it's getting close to a year since it released, with nothing interesting to me in between. Galaxy was ok, but not mind-blowing, and certainly had nothing Wii-specific worthwhile in it that just couldn't have been done on the GameCube.
Aside from a couple hours I put into LostWinds, I haven't touched my Wii since I got my PS3. I don't even consider myself to be a hardcore gamer, because I'm not very good at games, especially in hard mode. I'm a softcore gamer.
I started with the Wii, and tried to stick by it.. But my hi-def TV betrayed me; and shortly after this purchase followed the PS3. And I don't regret it, honestly.
i still get flak from my friends about this. i was such an ardent supporter of the wii when it first came out. i got one at launch. THEN 10 months later, after not using it for anything beyond wii bowling for 4 months, i traded it in. got myself a ps3. haven't looked back.
long and short was the wii COULD'VE been awesome. it ended up being geared towards a more "casual gamer" (god i hate that phrase).
i might pick one up when they're $100 again just for wii sports. (at least then it's just an expensive GAME, like rock band.)

Yeah..I have 3 360's (won 2 of them..so dont hate)a PS3,a Wii and 2 DS's...the Wii gets NO play time...with lack of games for my age group and the fact that the games that came out using the Wii motes to there top level (besides RE4 which seems to be spot on and Wii sports) dont seem all that fun after a few hours.....then im stuck with crappy looking games with no real catch besides the remote's..and yes i actually notice graphics after hours of play..My brain is used to HD content now
Right now i keep going back to 4 games that i can play when able and know ill have a fun time
Xbox360
CoD4
Burnout paradise
PS3
Pixel Junk Monsters
DS
Puzzle quest
And friend codes...are you !@&*ing kidding me????\
Ill keep my system for when my small cousins and grandparents want to play some bowling together

Digital2D, have you played Metroid Prime 3? I really, really loved it. Sad it only lasted about 24 hours, though.. I'll play my Wii again when Icarus or more Metroid come out. Maybe something else will surprise me, but I'm still hoping for a remake of the first two Metroid Prime games. Hey, if they can remake total garbage for the Wii, why not remake two games that would really really benefit from a newer engine with perfect controls?

I would love if there were some shooters with multiplayer/co-op on the Wii. Man, that would be so awesome. But so far, it's always been that whatever games I've bought, I've sat down for a while, eventually got bored, and then just lost interest. Even with the ones others love like Super Mario Galaxy. Never feel like playing. I don't know. Some decision will be made at some point over the summer, I'm sure.

Can I possibly buy one of your 360s with my TRS discount?
Yeah, it's possibly the worst implementation of online ever.

I don't care what anyone says, but Medal of Honor Heroes 2 was a pretty good Wii shooter, with 32-player online.
However, being unable to tell if your friends are online or what they are playing sucks, and being unable to communicate with your teammates really, really sucks. But we gotta protect the kids! You know, the kids who are buying these games where you riddle nazis full of bullets or blow them to shit with grenades. They might hear the F word if we had voice chat! Never fear, Nintendo to the rescue!

I couldn't imagine selling my Wii. Granted I'm a huge Nintendo fanboy. But being without the ability to play the next Mario, Zelda or Metroid would make me sick. I was thinking of buying a 360 since GTA4 came out (and I got my $600 stimulus check). But when it came down to it, I really preferred to buy a bunch of dvds, comics and a Wii game. I still want a 360 and maybe I'll get one later this summer when I get my rent rebate check. But until then I really don't feel like I'm missing out. Of course it should be said I don't really like the FPS genre, otherwise not owning a 360 would be crazy.

Yeah it was very good and I loved it..but again the shortness is a issue for repeat play..didn't want to go through again. If they remade instead of released older Nintendo games it might make me a little happier with the system...Super Punch Out Remake anyone?

I would love too but 1 is in my office/game room..use as main...bedroom has one hooked up for HD-DVD use and the basement is for friend nights at streaming media, soon to be modded...if i change my mind ill let you know first!

I bought a Wii about two months ago, mainly for the kids. We enjoyed it at first, but have spent less and less time playing it. I have been wanting a 360 since they came out. When GTA 4 came out I could wait no longer. I bought one a week ago and have been blown away. My kids have been playing Lego Star Wars and I have been playing GTA 4 when they go to bed. What a fantastic gaming console.
I probably won't ever sell the Wii because it is such a great party system, but it is nothing compared to the 360.
