Revision3 Dead, dieing or what? I can barely access the site at all!

Help! Often times I can't even connect to revision3.com, whats up? I've tried almost everything I can think of, I'm not sure if its my end, rev3's or something in between.

also I took a look at dnsstuff.com and heres what it showed me:

I want my Rev3 Fix, help? The problem is off and on, mostly on! The browser just hangs on Connecting to revision3.com and sometimes... it loads, like now so I don't get it. Also took a look at http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/revision3.com ... it tries but fails and and their server encounters some error during the process, except right now, it says you're up... which right now you are. I should also mention I pinged revision3.com myself and got 100% loss when I couldn't connect, which makes sense :P Forums are also slow as hell.

Edit: I've noticed my connection hangs slightly while connecting to revision3's adserver as well, I don't have the server blocked, but some content it may bring up very well could be, via my hosts file/adblock plus.

It wouldn't connect for the longest time. Had the same problems that artfuldodga did...and then it came up with a maintenance message.

Not sure if it was scheduled. Just annoyed, 'cause I loves me some Rev3...

Yea same here, it was dead for the longest time and is now sporadic. Haven't seen a maintenance message yet though. Hopefully they get this fixed soon. I love me some Tekzilla forums.

Yep, I thought it was just me as I'm in London. Hopefully this problem will be fixed soon.

It happens sometimes. I am sure the powers that be know about it (there are at least 6 Rev3 staff memebers currently logged onto the forums), but being a long weekend, there probably aren't all the staff or resources available to do more than bandaid fixes. New content is still flowing - Pixel Perfect and popSirens released as usual today.

Have some patience, check back periodically, but don't be too concerned unless this carries through until Wednesday or Thursday.

well, content is one thing... TRSsteve has been reporting on twitter about issues uploading TRS, but the forums? Unless they are upgrading forum code, I don't see why there should be so many issues.

The twitter used it as past tense and said it should be better now...um..nothing has changed it still goes down and loads like crap main site is often down.

I've joined a fairly limited number of forums but one I stumbled across in a Google search had an appropriate one - just a message, "y'all dun broke it".

I'm sure it'll be sorted out eventually.

things should be fine now, thanks to the heroic vacation time efforts of bmwt. We had some problems with our colo network which have been fairly well resolved at this point. As for why mobile, etc was working, we host our content separate from the site itself (via bitgravity).

Edit: Still getting weird results using various dns tools though, where as most other sites show things as normal.
Its faster responding sometimes, but still doesn't work half the time. My cache is doing all the work getting me back here...

Been down all day for me today, finally got one through hitting refresh over and over just now, but not been able to get onto the site since Friday night last week! Like 5 days now its just been timing out for me, not seen Diggnation, tekzilla etc even yet, have they come out?

Apparently there was a major DDOS attack going on, don't know for how long but it must of been awhile, I heard about it via Twitter of all places. :P
