In this daily, Veronica mentions the name of the Firefox addon as being roam (or roll) about. But in searching the add ons for Firefox, I am unable to find anything similar to what it is that she mentions?
Also, there is no information in the show notes.

So, what is the correct name, and possibly a link, to the correct addon?

don't know why it's not in the add-on engine but:

http://www.downloadsquad.com/2008/04/22/roamabout-browser-plugin-brings-web-services-to-any-page/
That's the article about it and:

http://dl.vysr.com/RoamAbout/?s=webexposf08
That's a direct link to the extension. If you prefer to get it from the article, it's in the second comment

Thank You for the links, but it seems that I have developed a new problem when trying to install the addon.
I click on the link, say to allow the install, and get an error message saying that the update is incompatible, and will not be installed, because the site cannot provide secure updates.
Is there some kind of fix or this?

The homepage is vysr.com, and the download page is vysr.com/download.html

duo - try downloading from that page instead.

When I backup Firefox, all I do is copy C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\whatever.default\* to an external drive.

That link did not work either.
I failed to mention that I am running Firefox 3 Beta 5.

Do you think it could be some kind of security settings, with that?
I have looked but am unable to find any such settings as of yet.

I just tried it on my copy of FF3 and got the same message. FF3 isnt compatible with a lot of extensions (one of the reasons I havent upgraded on my work computer yet)... hopefully these bugs will be worked out sooner rather than later. :(

I will give this install a try on my other PC when I get a chance.
The only reason that I am using FF3, is because the upgrade to Ubuntu 8.04 installed it automatically.

I actually just switched to Firefox after using Opera for about 8 years, but that's a whole nother thread. Not to mention that wouldnt help in this case, since RoamAbout is only compatible with Firefox.
