I was just telling Buxy that we needed a Geekdrome Biggest Loser, only because I'm personally taking my own nutrition a lot more serious. By cutting out a billion gallons of Coke a day and stopped eating fast food for every meal I lost about 7lbs in the past 2 weeks. My goal was only to lose 15 and get down to the 160-170 range, so far it's been completely effortless and much cheaper than eating out every night. I've been getting more sleep too and I've honestly felt a lot better these past few weeks than I usually do.

I've been telling people for years that caffeine additives to beverages should be outlawed... you know they're adding it to Root Beer and Orange soda now? Just to make it addictive so they sell more? That's just wrong. Switch to tea... the anti-oxidants are good for you, and at least the caffeine is naturally present.

I've gotta say that it's now Sunday and I'm still tired.
I do wish that next year more people will attend! It would be awesome
to have a more centralized location, some where like Kansas. (Isnt' that where Smallville is?)
Anyway, you were all there in spirit and in our thoughts because ALL of us on the Forums, IRC chat, and iTunes subcribers made this possible.

Yes, I love BBQ, and since I'm half Mexican I also love piñatas. Strange thing though -- a friend of mine was filming at griffith park on the same day and time of the picnic. I think he just assumed it was a birthday party or something.

The subtleties of my rapier wit are lost when transcribed into text!
Let me break it down for you...
This is the internet, where boys will be girls and girls will really be 42 year old fat men on a computer in their parents' basement. Therefore, since most of the people on this forum represent themselves to be dudes, they must, logically, actually be women! Which is why there were so few dudes at the picnic.
The converse must also hold true, so, if you represent yourself to be a girl in this forum, you must in fact be a dude. But, wait! The girls actually showed up as girls! The only logical explanation for this is that they were in drag.
My logic is impeccable. You cannot refute it!

So, in lieu of a picnic, the next geekdrome outing can be a lightswitch rave. Don't forget your glowsticks...
yeah, and then we can break the glowsticks and pour them in someones mountain dew....
i hear they have to pump your stomach for that....

My broke ass funded the picnic and it was well worth it. Gilmore was great, John Guerrero and Melissa were amazing (and their salsa was HOT!!!), Calderon and his lovely wife and friends were straight up superstars with free shirts, drinks, a cooler, the pinata (I couldn't believe how giving they were), I got some free pug stuff from my man in the south bay, Nikki brought some sodas, Zell brought that smile. It was all good and a great time and money well spent. Everyone was a total superstar.
All I can say is we'll do what we can afford. If we can afford to go to the N Y Comic Con and cover it and it's worth the trip you KNOW we'll be there to rock it with Zim and Buxy and everyone. And I'd love to go back to the bay area and see everyone again.
Hold tight my friends. I know I've got plenty left in me and Dan does too. If I could afford timewise and moneywise to make every day like Saturday you know I would! I was loading all the footage in for the Picnic Montage I'm making for Youtube and it made me smile. The Man Known As Jeff and Avi Glijansky having their own conversation with Dromies felt like Mirror Drome. It was awesome.

I am more than willing to cover party expenses. My parents are rich and I hit them up for money all the time. And I could cook for everyone a nice big Italian dinner. Wouldn't that be better than the staple of burgers? I have a big enough place since there aren't that many east coast dromies and would welcome you guys with open arms. But we have time to figure it out so for now I shall let it simmer.

those weren't girls, they were potential felonies.
Always on the lookout for potential felonies, right Brian Gilmore?
My parents aren't rich, but I'd welcome a fellow Dromie into my home for some bread and water anytime! Please call ahead for reservations. Parties of 10 or more will be charged a 20% gratuity, and there is a plate sharing fee of $20 per slice of bread and glass of water (tap of course). There is also a $50 table charge.
Yuk Yuk. :p

Only problem with that is, if I go back to Chicago I will end up looking up the cute bartender I used to know, get falling-down drunk with his irish cuteness and never make it to the picnic.
I say Texas... it's sorta midway, always warm in November (which is key for outdoor events) and most likely Jlo knows people here anyway, so his broke ass will have a place to stay. :p

Why is Jonathan apologizing? I don't see the words, "I'm sorry", but this is definitely an apology. There should be no guilt felt for not being everywhere at once. That is insane. Quit *****ing people. If you couldn't make it, you couldn't make it. Throw your own parties and take pictures for the Drome, so that you can rub it in other peoples faces that you too can have fun. With the name dropping thread that was in the forum awhile ago there should be a lot of celebrities in those pictures, so cough 'em up.
