I was trying to figure out how to do that during the show and thought of all the things they did. Brian's solution...pure genius. Heh didn't think of that.

BTW Brian I hope you got the number of the female on the far right...;-)

LOL... I had the exact same experience when it was done for me live. I just couldn't bust it, and when I saw how elegant the real solution was, I was blown away.

I love this trick, but I think I'm going to modify it. I was thinking of making people move the straws a greater distance, like to another table. This makes it look like it's impossible to the target.

I feel like a broken record saying Great Episode again.. But it was truly great. There is a great method to your show plus it's informational & hilarious.

Now i'm off to try this on my 10yr old niece. then hopefully at the bar this weekend.

Thanks for the added subtitle. I was sort of like "How nice of her to offer a 'blow'" tihihhi

Great episode. I just need to buy straws =)

note on this scam: I recommend using those super-thin cocktail straws as the tool-straw (prevents them from sucking in the straw and vacuuming them over... that one almost worked).

Also, LOVE the idea of going from one table to another. Brilliant!

i think you could use the straw and some suck power to move the napkin over the other. but you could easily say that you cant move the napkin over the other.

The first person I tried it on eventually "solved" it by carrying over the bent straw and then sucking on the half-straw and carrying it over.

I make the game more fool-proof afterwards by using one of those plastic cocktail mixer things instead of a straw for carrying it all over.

If the cocktail stirrer was thin enough, couldn't the person/friend/victim simply slide it inside of one of the straws and move it over?

Hmmm you're right.. that probably wouldn't work in most cases then.

In my case though the cocktail stirrer was huge with a bulge at the end and the straws were very small so it worked.

I have a feeling many creative solutions will be found to this puzzle =)

If you're a family man, be careful what you show the kids. One Thanksgiving at the dinner table, I showed my three year old the magic trick where you appear to toss an object into the air and it disappears. He picked up the closest object--a magnet-- tossed it into the air, and it landed right in the middle of his grandfather's wine glass.

Eek! Are the kids scammin' juice boxes?

Its embarrassing that this trick is that simple.
