I just bought a sweet samsung yp-p2 with a beautiful touch screen. The problem is I was an apple user and bought most of my music through itunes. Samsung media studio cannot see any of the files in the itunes folder and I am ssumin that is because of they are protected files.
How can I get my itunes library in the samsung media studio or at least in a folder where windows media player can see the files and i can play the files on the p2?
Thanks

If you bought them from iTunes you can only put them on an iPod or iPhone. For any video you are out of luck. With music you can burn it to a CD and then rip it back to MP3. Tats about the only way you can do it.

Can't say they didn't try and warn you. I think you are the first person I've heard of who didn't know about iTunes DRM.

Johnny "FAIRPLAY" was a cast member of Survivor and also a cool thing to Google.
Also, Apple has always been very clear about their DRM stuff. If you had purchased their DRM Free music, you'd be in the clear.

If you really want, you can always use an audio recording program like Audio Hijack Pro or Wiretap Pro to record those files but that is VERY time consuming.

Yeah, strip the DRM!!! Free the music!
It may be kind of illegal but that does not mean it is immoral. It is immoral of THEM to force people to buy their songs and use those songs only on their products. What ever happened to consumer rights?
In the future, buy from Amazon, all MP3 and DRM Free! <3's for Amazon. But for now, you gotta do what you gotta do, you gotta set a wrong to a right, you gotta free the MUSIC! ;)

Is it the problem of Apple or record company?
Steve Jobs already said DRM doesn't work therefore we have iTunes Plus.
However so far only EMI provides DRM-free music in iTunes store.
Why Amazon can sell songs without DRM? Coz iTunes has a greater market share and record companies want to make more money in it?

"I was an apple user".
Tunebite is the way to go. Unfortunately it's windows only.
Do a google search on "remove itunes drm mac"..

Both. I think in the beginning the record companies were very worried about piracy and demanded DRM be included. Since then they have began to understand that their audience doesn't like DRM and they are hurting their audience and themselves, so they are beginning to change. Apple, however, sees the profit in slowly switching and charging more for DRM-less MP3s.

They TOLD you there was DRM on the songs, and you bought it anyways. Stripping off the DRM is illegal. Don't want the DRM? Buy elsewhere, don't strip it off. Consumer rights haven't gone anywhere. Having the right to choose between DRM music from iTunes and DRM-Free from Amazon is your right. Had they hid the DRM from you I would agree, but they didn't.
