This weekend I brought home my first kitten (it's a boy). I'm trying to come up with good names, and thought everyone could help. I need a good name that has some sort of geek reference to it.
So far I've come up with:
1) Spike (from Gremlins)
2) Cringer (my name is Adam so it fits well!)
3) Liono (Thundercats) - all though, I don't really like this name.
Any suggestions what to name my cat??

Good call! Then when you have company over, and they are like "awww, you got a cute lil' kitten! What's his name?" you can yell "THIS IS SPARTA!!!"

That's a good one too. I may steal it if I ever get a dog, actually.
In that vein, I'd suggest you call the cat C-80. Like C A T.
Or just call him K@.

My four cats are named Vector, Raster, Pixel, and Bitmap. Your kitten looks like a Grayscale. Gandalf the Grayscale, maybe?

Mine do too. I have two, and you can call them from anywhere in the house and they'll come running.
My suggestion to silverhack is giving him both a first and a last name. My girlfriend, for example, had a dog named Topher Grace. It's always adorable when pets have last names. I don't know why, it just is.
(by the way, he's really cute)

Our cat is named Nils Maximus Xerxes Andersson (I think that's the whole name. :p), nicknamed "Nisse".

^^ hey, one of my ferrets is named Maximus (we're Gladiator fans).
The other is named Darius, after King Darius III, as mentioned in the Iron Maiden classic, Alexander the Great. We lost our little girl ferret, whom was named Gwendolyn. We had a theme going, there.

Don't name him. Just sell him, and buy a dog.
Then name your dog "Lurker" and teach him to "Zerg Rush".

Then sell him to a Japanese guy.
"What's your cat's name, Lee?"
"Ring Ring"
"Are you going to answer that?"
"Answer what?"
"That ringing."
"Ring Ring?"
"See, there it is again."
"What?!"
"The ringing!"
"He's right there!"
"Who?!"
"RingRing!!!"
