FX has some really cool videos of the actors interviewing each other about their experiences on the show. If you are a fan this is a must see.

http://www.fxnetwork.com/

Also, if anybody wants to discuss their theories on the final season I'd love to hear them.

Thanks

Instead of discussing theories of what will happen in seven maybe we should recap what happened in six, I don't even remember!? It has been TOO LONG!! :p

I'm still pissed that it didn't start airing in April like it was supposed to. Stupid writer's strike. :(

*****SPOILERS*****Well, Season 6 ended with Vic getting a hold of the infamous camera phone picture of Aceveda's rape. Which led to Vic and Aceveda discovering the box of files belonging to the latino businessman who helped put Aceveda in office. The files pretty much contain dirt on several key members of the local government as well as the LAPD. Vic was getting fired but it now looks like he will be using the files as leverage to keep his job.

I'm just throwing this out there to keep the discussion going.

Has anybody watched the videos on the FX website with the Shield cast?

I know a little about law enforcement, and knowing that the writers do too and they go for dramatic effect. Here's my theory; cops are two to three times more likely to commit suicide than the general population. How dramatic would it be if Vic goes out on his terms and eats a bullet?...fade to black, end of the series.

It is definitely not the best show ever... but it is the best cop show I've seen. And I can't wait for the final season, I hope it gets a good ending.

I can't wait til it comes out. Thanks to Jeff I discovered the show last summer and went through all 6 seasons on DVD rental and itunes. I'm now all caught up and ready for 7!

I just popped in to make sure that someone had mentioned the awesome videos on fxnetworks.com. I really enjoyed watching most of them. Great to see the actor's take on the happenings of the show.

I, as many others I'm sure, was turned on to the Shield by Jeff constantly plugging it (a good tactic, they should pay him for ad fees!). I was so amazed at how much I loved it and really cared for the characters. I remember the episode of TRS where Alex and Dan watched the show to surprise Jeff and I am now, having watched it, quite shocked that they didn't like it more.
I mean, it has incredible character/plot development, but it also has great action and other stuff to keep you interested in that way. I'll be sad to see it end, but I have faith that they will make it a totally satisfying ending.
Anyway, I was just glad to see the clips on fxnetworks.com and I recommend everyone to check them out (though not if you haven't seen past season 5 as there's spoilers)

spoiler**************

I was sooooo pissed when they killed lem. I never liked shane he should bite the bullet. Lem could have let him hang out to dry but no he put aside his hatred for shane and helped him out.

the shield is the only show that would have you cheering for a guy like vic. when that IAD guy admitted to framing him I was on the edge of my seat going hell yeah. And when vic banged his wife oh man that was pure gold.
end spoiler***********************

I think the show should end with the death of Vic by Terry Crowley's brother. I think it was wrong of vic to kill him and should have handled the situation another way. poetic justice. Also Shane should die too. Tortured a little first.

This is my all time favorite show, i personally think its the best show to ever grace us, the writing is brilliant and everything about it is..

I remember watching the pilot the day it aired with my pops (both huge chiklis fans from the corny commish days)

I think this season is going to bring joy, shock and awe.. and make me cry, but the good news is sons of anarchy might be the shield filler, it looks very well written/acted

Shawn Ryan and all the writers scott brazil (RIP), Kurt Sutter etc. i thank you for creating the greatest piece of entertainment i have ever seen on TV

and this is my opinion, there is no "Greatest" or "best", but to me it is.
