Anyone noticed that any TV worth watching (Hero's doesn't count - I won't watch that garbo) is on FX?

Rescue Me
The Shield
Damages
Nip/Tuck (!)

And now, they have a few new shows coming along. All with great production values, marketing, etc.

I like the show 30 days with Morgan Spurlock. Pretty much the only show I watch on FX.

Add "The Riches" to that list.

Heroes still rocks, and Eureka is back on SciFi in July. FX doesn't have a monopoly on good shows, its just that the networks are piss poor by comparison.

Let's not be forgetting 'It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia", otherwise known as the funniest show on television...

Rescue Me has been my favorite show since it was released, to bad it won't be on this year. Writer strike delayed the show and won't be back till next year for about 22 episodes instead of the usual 13 episodes.

Same goes for Showcase & HBO. Their shows are fucking amazing.

The mainstream television viewer is an asshole who impedes shows like Firefly from getting what they deserve.

Nip/Tuck has sucked since after like the second season..it's just now an over budgeted soap opera soft porn.

I can't really get into most of these shows. Don't get me wrong, they may be great but they're not really what I'm into. I'm more of a Sci-Fi, Comedy, some dramas fan. I tried watching Rescue Me and nip/tuck and had no idea what was going on. Someone was a father, and cheating with someone else and I was waiting for a long lost twin to come back from supposedly being dead. I'll only try the SHIELD because of Jeff's love for it.

I'm actually a fan of NBC & ABC mainly for shows like: Lost, Heroes, Chuck, The Office, 30 Rock, Scrubs, Journeyman (got into after it was canceled & online), Bionic Woman (went downhill really fast though). I think main stream television is finally making shows that are appealing, but unlike what was on say 10 years ago. I gotta watch the shows I love or they'll get the boot like FireFly, which I missed on television thankful for DVD.

I totally agree. I've been a long time fan of Nip/Tuck and Rescue Me, but the others have been more hit and miss as of late. Especially Dirt, which to be honest, has been less than stellar. Its a bit odd, but in the end, I think its more or less that Fox can throw more money into the channel, build and solid fan base, and push the boundaries a bit more here.

...But I'm not about to abandon regular TV for F/X. Although, in the morning, its my favorite channel. Married With Children re-runs FTW!

Thought:

Burn Notice. On USA. Underrated. Really, the whole channel, completely underrated. I'll admit I only watch the show for Bruce Campbell, but yeah, its good otherwise...

Have not heard of this, as I get my TV service from eztv, and so I must look it up now. I have a hunch that it will be interesting... Research commencing.

At first I had a bit trouble watching the series, but it was summer and hot and was not in the mood to get into it. I watched a bit of a marathon a few weeks later and enjoyed it more. So now it's on my Netflix queue to actually catch up before the new season.

I did enjoy the few episodes that I have seen of 30 Days. I sometimes forget it came from F/X. I just got into it a bit more watching a marathon on Fox Reality channel. I'm going to add that to my netflix queue as well. I like documentaries and the premise behind the series is one I enjoy. Actually reminds me a bit of MTV's True Life, which sounds like Dan is a fan of as well. It's about the only reason I'll ever watch that channel again, Fox Reality not F/X.

Dirt has apparently been cancelled (http://tinyurl.com/4gbrl5) this week.

Nip/Tuck was great the first couple years, but the season with the Slasher and Matt with his skinhead girlfriend just got to be too much for me. It felt like they were doing things specifically to try and push the envelope.

I miss Saved with Tom Everett Scott. Only on for one season, but I thought it was really good.
