I need to make a decision about this game. I want to buy it, but I don't want to play alone..... It's much better if you play on a team with at least one other person with a headset who knows what they're doing.
So, is anyone else buying this?
You can check your stats online if you register with EA. Here is my profile:

I am up to 10 hours, 41 minutes, 35 seconds in the single-map demo. That's a long time for a DEMO, if you ask me...
It's longer than it took me to play through Haze, COD4, F.E.A.R., and Uncharted. I've played it about as long as I've played COD4 online (maybe a couple hours shy, I can't remember - haven't touched COD4 in a long while), and over half as long as I played Burnout Paradise.
I've got my money's worth from that demo, that's for sure. I think the full game will be awesome, with more maps and more weapons and stuff. The stat tracking for the full game is insane - there are dozens of achievements/trophies/whatever on that stat-tracking page, as well as every weapon, kit, and vehicle being tracked by time, kills, shots fired, roadkills, headshots, shots hit, etc.
There's also something mentioned on one of the achievements called "Photomode" which sounds like it lets you take a picture of the action.
I'm excited, but I want people to play with.

I just downloaded this when I got back from NYC, then just got around to loading it up sometime last night, but only stood around and pressed a few buttons in one match before deciding to do something else.
It looked and felt good, but that's about all I could ascertain. I'll play with it more later.

I dont come back to america for another 2 weeks but this is a title I will pick up shortly after I get back, it looks clean, from what I have seen it plays clean, and I have enjoyed all of the other battlefields in some capacity.

I will never buy a PS3 multiplayer game until Sony gets their act together and makes it as easy as it is on the Xbox 360 to team up with my friends online. My PS3 has been collecting dust since launch. Almost 2yrs and still no usable means of playing with friends online, what a waste.

Thanks for the rant... Nothing I haven't heard before, though. But still, here's a cookie for your troubles.

It's pretty easy to hook up with friends on the PS3. I just finally saw an XBOX 360 at my cousin's, since that is his primary console, and I really only appreciated the in-game dashboard access, and perhaps the rating system for players. Other than that, I didn't see anything the PS3 didn't do as easy. I'm thinking I'll be working on getting a 360 though to game with my cousin.

XBOX 360 no question. Achievments are addicting, community is bigger... although sometimes less mature, but thats why you have a friends list.
Most everyone i know in real life has a 360... and those that i know that have a ps3 as well, like myself, simply use it for blu-ray movies mainly.

So... did any PS3 owners pick it up? If so, add me and we should organize some time to play.

The demo kind of feels like a 360 game to me... I'm not sure how to describe it but I'll probably get it for the 360.
I've been a little let down by the reviews; I was hoping to hear that it was as funny as those little videos they did mocking RSV, gears, etc

I'm pretty shocked that Giant Bomb gave it a perfect 10 out of 10. It's not a perfect game, by any means, but it is good. I agree with the 85% Metacritic score, if you have to put a number on it.. But if someone doesn't like it, while that's a shame, I can understand it. It takes a good hour or so before you really get into the swing of it for the first time.. If you're the kind of person who can judge a game by only playing 10 minutes of it, then my hat's off to you. If you just don't like shooters on consoles, then that's a different thing, and I wonder why you bothered to try it in the first place. In any case, I was trying to find out if anyone but me bought this yet for PS3, as I'd like some more people to play it with. Looks like not.
I really hope Dan decides to play it more online before he reviews it... He played one match, had 6% accuracy, and 175 or so points (which isn't bad for his first match). But I think really, you have to play a game more than 10 minutes if you're going to be reviewing it.

Hillarious!!! I've never heard that joke before! You should take it up as a career, as I think you have a natural gift here! Seriously, that is really funny - I'm loling as I type this.

I had it for 360, but it kept freezing on me (not the game's fault, my crummy console). So, I swapped it for the PS3 version. Add either "mik" or "mormonrage" if you need someone else to shoot in the face on your PS3.

Oh, you know i'll get it. ya know you guys and gals should really give it a shot (no pun intended). however i hope that they fixed the issues that the demo had. ie, the dropping out of games. not being able to see your teams names over their heads (off and on). EA is notorious for sending broken games to market and never bothering to fix them. Like, Battlefield 2 modern combat!!!!

Yes and that little house on wheels outside your home is called a car. And you can drive it around. Like a mini RV.

I never had the problem of dropping out of a game, but there are definitely still some issues with audio. The good news is that DICE has said that they're working on a patch to solve a bunch of issues that people complained about, and specifically they're working with Sony to solve their headset issues. It's still a fun game that I haven't played much yet on account of playing MGS4 and trying to finish off Ratchet & Clank Future. Once I finish one or both of those, it'll be BF:BC 24/7 (almost). Maybe you'll be ready to roll by then, and we can kick some ass together. :)

Downloaded the demo and didn't really like it. But it might grow on me because I love CoD4. Might pick it up later on but probably for 360 instead of PS3
