I just bought a Canon camera. The box contained 7--count with me, that's seven--instruction books. Doesn't that seem a little much?

i have to agree, I know cannon does this all the time, I've seen it in other manufacturers too. All I want is a box with a camera.. maybe a lanyard.. batteries are nice, but i'll just replace them. also, just leave the memory out, 8MB isn't going to do anyone any good.

The should include the instructions in English with a page of all the other languages with URLs to go to to download and/or a number to call to have instructions sent in a different language. It would save a TON of paper.

My Garmin GPS came with a simple sheet that showed how to plug it into the computer. It got recognised as an external drive ... and had all the manuals on there. Minimal paperwork. Sure, it was still there, but nowhere near as much as before.

I just recently bought a nikon camera and it came with 4 I believe. I know they have to include some, but how hard is it to figure out you push the button on top? Seems like a waste of paper to me.
