Just wanted to know which version of the game those who have picked it up already picked up!
If you did manage to pick up a copy of the Limited Edition version, I would love to know what you think of the Making of documentary, if you have checked it out already!
Looking forward to your feedback

I picked up the Limited Edition but I'm waiting to watch the "making of" cause' it says that it contains spoilers and should be watched after completing the game. I haven't listened to the soundtrack either but I will soon.

That's lame if it does! You figure if someone is forking over the money for a SYSTEM BUNDLE, they should at least get the Limited Edition!

The 80 Gig bundle comes with a regular edition of the game, but it comes with Dual Shock 3 as well. It sells for the same price just the 80 Gig with the Sixaxis was selling for before they stopped being stocked, $500.
The 40 Gig bundle comes in gun metal grey, with a gun metal grey controller (not sure if this is Sixaxis or Dual Shock 3) and the limited edition version of the game. It is not backwards compatible, and that one sells for $600.
I'd take the 80 Gig bundle.
Got the limited edition, btw. i'm waiting to watch the documentary until I beat the game as well.

I love how they made the special Metal Gear limited edition grey PS3 the 40Gb model with no backwards compatability. So after you've bought it you can go and grab the fantastic new "Metal Gear Solid: The Essential Collection" and NOT be able play it on your brand new PS3. You would think a little more thought could have gone into that.

Trust me, I asked the same question!
That was totally a SONY call!
I love when they release the machine originally, it's 80GB and does everything it should plus play Blu-Ray movies!
Now, they decide, if we're gonna charge cheaper prices, likes just remove everything! MWAHAHAHAHA! WE'RE IDIOTS!
Way to go Sony!
Sorry to throw it off topic there, but still!
So...HOW BOUT THAT DOC? :)
Or, what was your favorite commercial during the beginning of the game?
Most people I've talked to hadn't realized it yet, but if you use the directional pad during the commercials you can change the channels and watch different segments!

I got the normal version. The limited edition in europe sucks a bit compared to the one in the US.

It wasn't the same?
Well that's stupid! Why wouldn't they release the same LE to all areas of the globe?

But doesn't Europe get a Snake figure? I would've loved to have that (though it did look a bit cheap).
I got the regular version. Limited Edition didn't offer much that I wanted. I could get the CD and documentary on the internet. The art book seemed nice though.

After watching half of one of the documentaries it does add to the game/story of why they did certain things and what not (ie. the PMC's, in Japan few people know that corporations provide military service, and Kojima wanted people to know what could happen in military service 10/20/30 years from now). The documentary I'm watching is quite long and indepth, it will certainly please long time Metal Gear fans.

Nop, we only got a snake figure, the normal game and the normal dvd all packed in a normal crappy case. I would love to have the LE that they released in the US for collection. :)

Oh yeah man! The doc is excellent! Not only did it give me an insight on Hideo Kojima and the MGS4 dev. team, but it also gave me an insight on the actual industry and what makes a good dev. team, considering I'm trying to break into the gaming industry. I give the LM an A+!

I picked up the LE because I'm obsessed with having game soundtracks -.-
And the behind the scenes Blu-ray disc can't be half bad either (waiting to complete the game, on ACT IV right now).
