That was pretty fun, however, I kept waiting for him to start from scratch to show his idea.

It seemed to me that this was more him showing a few things about something he had already created, then showing us how to create that.

I dunno, I still loved it, I just didn't feel that it was as informative as the others.

Was it just my download or was the first 30 or so seconds of the show black screen?

Nope, wasn't just you as I also had 30 seconds of black screen both at the beginning and the end of the video. This was with the hd.h264.mov version.

I was very relieved when he started to explain how he added the highlights and shadows to the bottom layer underneath. It looked for a bit like it was gonna be a bit of a: this is what you can do, does a few steps... skip some steps to make an amazing effect and BAM end result. But he did explain it in the end :D

He only shows steps of stuff that he's actually trying to teach. If you need to learn how to use the pen tool then, thats a whole different lesson. The bevel & emboss for the lines he probably could have shown us, however the show was about the reflections which I feel like he showed us step by step very well.

This was one of my favourite lessons. I always find it difficult to paint metals, and I learnt a few things from this lesson. I think white metals are even harder to paint and would love to see a similar tutorial in the future but using a white shiny metal.

Or brushed aluminum... not quite shiney, but not necessarily dull.

can someone please explain what he means by doing 2 embosses (one up one down) on the trim lines?? I didn't understand what he meant.

Thanks
