i am not even sure of the time difference i am est daylight savings usa

Date and time lookup: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/ it takes account of daylight saving time.

For everything else .. yes, the meeting will be in English. Danes speak very good english, but their sense of humour tends to be drier and more self depecrecating. Avoid humour until you know the guy better.

Above all, be punctual.

Tell him you're phoning from an iPhone. Everyone loves iPhones.

Send him an email if possible and say

"I would like to call you tomorrow morning (my time). Is 3:00pm (your time) acceptable.

Please confirm, or suggest an alternate time."

i sent him an email already laying out the agenda and asking for a good time for him

since my connection already talked to him on the phone i think he is just expecting a call

i'll call him as soon as i get up and if the time is wrong we will go from there

i am trying to not make it too big a deal even though it is

One thing.. Try not to sound to fond of your self. The Danes are a very modest people and do generally not like people bragging to much about their success.

no one reminded me that in europe they take months long vacations

i am to speak to him in august

i can call at noon my time he said

he liked my email

and the exchange rate for a danish friend was 1.5 dollars

so that means a siginificant difference

it is very civilized taking the summer off

reminds me of school

i think i'll adopt it

so i get to talk to an angel

that's pretty cool

i am ony asking for 'how to' not 'give me'

aria may not think a free education is attractive but i do see a grant to create my own internet domain definitely is

it is worth the effort

i like the challenege

i got encouragement from someone here who knows

thx :)

just gonna pop in and suggest people quit flinging dirt. There's more than enough to go around.

or better yet an 'early warning' system

anyway in six weeks i meet an authentic angel

who wants to meet me

i am going to clean my house and put everything in order

and i am going to do a lot of meditating

create 'sacred space' inner and outer

I can't comment on zen mediation spaces - inner or outer - but I would advise you to create a clear work environment. Not a space you also do other things, but a defined space that means "I am working". When yo work at home, it helps get you in the frame of mind of when you are at work, and when you are at home.

That also means - don't use the laptop in bed, or in front of the TV. Those are hard habits to break later.

By all means, cheap your email over a coffee at home or at your favourite coffeehouse, but thinking needs its own space as well.

good advice

i am going to get a bigger apartment

so i have an study / office

it can still be feminine and relaxed just 'other'

that way i will also have some awareness of how much time i spend working

even though it may be entirely necessary in the starting up of a startup it seems i work all the time

and i know that in the long run that does not lead to better work

and i am going to have two computers and two phones

i don't watch or own a tv so tv is not a problem

it's funny to me that i make these connections and discuss big projects almost always in my pajamas

note to self: buy more business like pajamas :D

The other advatnage of seperate spaces dedicated to wqork is at tax time - you can aportion a percentage of rent and utilities to business expenses and write down your income a little. Every little bit helps.

PJs? I can't remember the last time I owned or wore PJs.

I was in the office last week - business casual attire (for me that is generally a open neck business shirt), shirt/tie/jacket on Thursday (vendor partner meeting), and linen campshirt on Friday ... all with chinos and a pair of brown hiking boots. Back at home today, and its a pair of running shorts and a tshirt - which I guess is as close to PJs as I own.

i had my mid back length hair cut to shoulder length

to give the message 'this is boardroom not baywatch'

i told my hair guy 'i want to look like i sit on the board of moma'

for outside the home office i will dress in high style it is part of my brand

i was thinking some japanese designers for edge and 'globality'
