I love this show and this episode set up all sorts of fun stuff for the next season.

Also Albert Brooks was amazing!

Hmm, ill have to catch it. I have to be honest though, the series i felt ran its course. The closure you got at the end of season 3 was just was it needed to be. It was feeling like it was running a little long and they ended it just right. I mean this story was a arc that had a beginning and end, it just fit.

Kinda feel like now they are milking it. BUT, i could be wrong. Maybe ill love season 4.

I'm way behind, still getting seasons 2 and 3. I loved #1 though.

This caught me by surprise I wasn't expecting it to be back on this quick, I thought that it was going to be at least another month or so before things started showing back up. Need to watch it though, got to love Mary Louise Parker... looks damn fine for her age.

Thank you! It totally slipped by me. I remember checking a month ago for when it started, and I totally forgot.

"Little boxes on the hillside, little boxes made of ticky-tacky..."

That song was stuck in my head for months at a time.

I just started watching Weeds this week. Finished Season 1 (awesome!) and just started Season 2. So far, great show. The writing is fantastic, and the acting is stellar. I <3 Mary Louise Parker (and Kevin Nealon too). Hopefully, I still have lots to look forward to!

Time yourself, from the last shot of season 2, til how long it takes for you to get season 3 in. Season 2 ends on a high, mixed with a little, WTF ?

I'm almost finished season 3 right now.

"Hey Lupita, what do you call that thing between the dick and the asshole?"

Loved that...

I don't have Showtime so I still haven't seen season 3 but now that it's out on dvd I have to get on that. After the way season 2 ended I'm excited to see how everything goes down.

I'm just making my way throug season 3 from netflix right now. The opening ep, resolving that situation, is a hell of a rollercoaster ride.

I watched it, I feel there is a chance they can make it work, but the first episode was weak.

That being said I like this show but I am far from loving it.

First of all, I hate the theme song, for some reason it infuriates me.

Secondly, anytime the show has politcal commentary the writing turns to shit. Yes Bush is terrible, our foreign policy sucks blah blah blah, it feels so out of place whenever they start talking about it which doesn't help since it usually comes out of the youngest boys mouth. It totally doesn't belong.

Lastly, Nancy comes off like a total whore. I mean that in the nicest way possible. Any time she sleeps with a random dude to further the plot I get put off by her character who I am supposed to be rooting for.

I would give the whole show a 3.5 / 5

Why can't you still root for her? Don't you want the people youroot for to have orgasms ?

Basically, a woman with a secure sense of self, in control of her sexuality, getting some when she decides to, is jim and dandy, a-ok, fine with me. I don't see Nancy doing it to get diamonds or to fulfill a void that daddy's hugs created. She ain't no paris hilton.

I am a fan of the show. I like Albert Brooks joining the cast & Zooey Deschanel is suppose to return. The Premiere was good but I would like to see more of a return to classic weeds. I am a little worried about the new direction the show is taking. "Little Boxes" is no longer going to be the theme song.

It's not like she is a horny soccer mom, she has "slept" (really not the right word for it) with multiple people as part of deals. It happened often enough that when she and (you know who) hook up I didn't care.

I'm going to miss Hellia and Conrad. Those were great characters who needed a better sendoff then the one they got.

That being said, I enjoyed this episode. It's definitely more of an establishing episode, laying the bricks for things to come, and I liked the direction. Also, Albert Brooks just might be enough of an addition to offset the departure of Romany Malco and crew.

Overall, Weeds is still a must-watch, but I have a feeling this season will be very different than the others.

I absolutely love Weeds! I'm definitely going to miss Helia and Conrad. I'm so glad that Zooey Deschanel is coming back. Her character was so hilarious and weird. I'm mixed feelings about the turn in plot for the new season though. If you take Nancy out of the suburbs, don't you kind of change the spirit of the show? The first episode was pretty boring, nothing really happened that wasn't shown in the previews. I hope it gets better.
