Has anyone had this problem? I have the PS3 hooked up to my 1080i and for some reason whenever I move from the crossbar to a game, and back, I get a burst of snow and audio static. Is there a solution? thanks

I think it's caused by your television switching resolutions. I've heard of people having the same problem.
I don't know how to fix it, though. Sorry.

yah got the same thing on mine. I don't get it when my cable box switches though, so I assume the PS3 is causing it. Havent found a fix for it yet.

happening on my brand new samsung ln40a650. burst of static and pop through speakers no matter if it comes through hdmi or optical so it's originating at the ps3. I didn't notice the problem till I got my new tv but it's coming from the ps3, that's what's confusing. I hooked up the old tv with hdmi too and everything else same way. I might have changed a setting or two due to the awesomeness of my new tv (bd 24hz, etc.) but other than that, it's all new. The static happens at no discernible time except it seems to happen mostly within a minute or two of turning on my ps3 and starting a movie, but it happened today in the menu system at 60hz. If it's from the tv changing resolutions, it's strange because it doesn't happen every time (not much at all) and it originates at the ps3, coming through the optical out as well. Also, when it does happen, it doesn't happen right away when you change the resolution. Very strange, indeed. Glad to know it's not only me. Sorry for you. Good luck, let me know if you find anything.
