I like the social engineering aspect to Scam School, but hate the tricks side to it, such as the whole banging a nail into a nose thing. Can the show please decide whether it's going to be social engineering or just cheap tricks and thrills?

that part was just a performance at the live show, but they saw a chance to use it as an episode too.

give him/them a break.

You gotta have skills and be suave to do some of the things he does in front of public ... in a bar.

Hi Nef-- if you don't mind, could you help me understand exactly what it is you don't like? Is it the stuff that's not a trick (fire eating, the human blockhead), or is it just seeing performance without learning that leaves you unsatisfied? Or am I focused on the wrong aspect entirely?

I'll throw in my 1/2 cent here, I hear what Nef is saying but don't agree. THIS IS NOT A FLAME, so please don't be offended Nef.

He may want a site that helps get free beer, hone Jedi mind tricks and presents scams that will get him free pizza like "the broken" did with Kevin Rose. Social engineering in the vein of Kevin Mitnick.

Your show has more entertainment value vs. grifter scamming. I think he wants to learn more about what they do on Ocean's Eleven. I'm interested because you seem to do both. And, you do so in a non-harmful way. All the participants are willing.

I totally agree with Murphy1d.

At first I was dissappointed that no new tricks were taught this week but then I watched the episode again and figured the show can still teach me something if it's not a particular trick. I watched it the second time around and payed more attention to Brian's showmanship instead. The majority of a trick isn't so much the trick itself but the effect it has and to get the full effect you have to present it well. (Just like great tasting food had to be well arranged too.)

I dunno. I prefer the other episodes to the live show episode we saw. For the most part, the show relies on a lot of logic puzzles and some fun stunts (like the jack-o-lantern), but the live show was too gimmicky to me, I suppose. It was all sideshow stuff I've seen a lot and wouldn't do at a party or in a bar to have fun. It wasn't that you didn't "teach us" the answer. It was that it was less about something impress friends, use as a conversation piece, etc and more about doing something ridiculous.

Though, I cut the live show ep(s) some slack because they were done as a live show. Which would need some sort of crazy thing to keep a big crowd's interest. Whereas, the recorded show is really only showing the "tricks" to a bunch of people who are generally watching while alone. It's easier to keep one person's attention than 1000.

i agree that even if you didnt "learn" anything from the live show then you can at least learn how Brian keeps us, his audience, concentrated into his performance.

Hey, sorry for the late response, I've been getting errors trying to post a response.

Yes, that is basically my issue with the show, the stuff that's not a trick (fire eating, the human blockhead).

I'm pretty much in agreement with matsie.

Understand, I think this show has great potential and hope to give feedback in order to better shape it to reach its potential. Many shows on Rev3 I felt the same way about, seemed to ignore its audiences feedback and have become redundant.

Brian... Don't worry the show is perfect.. I loved the NYC special.. I can't wait for Pt2.

Social Engineering, Doing something to make conversation. Over the weekend I was out at the bar, and I pulled out my Iphone and was showing my friends Brians crazy Antics at the NYC show. Guys were laughing & girls were squirming as Brian stuck the nail in his eye.... The show worked perfect, It helped create a coversation around his show.

Brian, seriously keep up the good work, and continue being The Manliest Man on the Internet

I wonder if Brian can go to famous bars throughout the country and do these tricks.
