Something along the lines of "The Office" but with a high tech bent. The characters, perhaps, can be IT workers at a major corporation. And the show can revolve around the oddball characters and funny situations and some inter-office dating. Office politics, tech problems, etc.. It could be a comedy or a combination drama/comedy.
I'm sure there are many Revision3 viewers with backgrounds in drama/writing who could help out with the production/acting, and who'd love the exposure/experience. It doesn't have to have the budget of a typical Hollywood sitcom. "The Office" basically has ONE set, afterall. The show could even be filmed at the Revision3 offices. They bill themselves as "internet TV", so let's see some entertainment content. Even a sci-fi series of sorts would be cool.
Also, I wish some of the tech content would be more platform specific -- as in a show about Windows Vista tricks, Mac OS tricks, Linux, Web designing/programming, etc.. General tech news is starting to become too played out.
I'd love to see Revision3 someday rival NBC, ABC, CBS, Bravo, Sci-Fi channel, etc..

I'd actually really like that. But it should stay intelligent.

I believe it got canned. He even said Lucy Lawless was suppose to be in it due to the fact who his good friend is.

I can't remember the name of it, but there was a webshow about a bunch of people who play an mmorpg. It's pretty funny. something like that--or even THAT would be good.

Writers= $$$$
Actors= $$$$
As for using real office space for a set, that interferes with people doing their jobs.
You would need an additional studio and control room to do this, that = $$$$$ Even a weekly show has rehearsal days and then shoot days, that interferes with the shows being taped at Rev3 if you use the current facilities.
Rev3 would have to hire more crew, now they tend to do shows with one camera op babysitting several cameras. Can't do that.
If you shoot it single camera, then you need time to shoot scenes several times and an editor who can put such a show together. Glenn probably could do it, but then Glenn doesn't do anything else. Waste of talent there.
Could Rev3 ever realize any profit from the show?
Once you start doing a show like what the OP described, you get into the areas where unions like SAG, the Writers Guild and IATSE are traditionally involved. Tech shows are one thing, entertainment would most likely get noticed and I don't think Rev3 could afford to play or pay. I don't believe that Rev3 could make enough $$ to justify it.

They could film at night or on the weekends when no one's there. I'm not talking about an weekly hour show. Maybe like a weekly 15-20 minute show.
"Could Rev3 ever realize any profit from the show?"
Advertisements. Especially if it becomes a viral hit, then they can charge a lot for ads or have product placements.
Rev3 has the infrastructure to do this. I know people who make independent films (mostly horror) using $500 digital camcorders and $100 video editing software on their Dell PC's or Macs, and these films are more entertaining than most Hollywood films, because they're innovative and campy. Plus, passion sometimes is more important than having a huge budget.
But as far as tech shows, I'd still love to see Rev3 create more platform-specific shows. I use Windows Vista, so a show all about Vista would be cool. Also, I use Macs occasionally, so a Mac show would be great also. Also, Linux. And maybe an Adobe PhotoShop show. Perhaps a show about vintage computing/electronics with interviews and demos of classic computers and gadgets. And also, a show for video/audiophiles concerning sound and film equipment.

chad vader is filmed at night at a real supermarket, with just a few other occasional places they don't have to schedule every episode, and all the props are already there, etc. But a real sitcom on rev3 would need constant setup and breakdown every session, continuity between shoots would be a bitch. and any "outside" scenes would mean removing equipment for hours that the other shows might need.
Mr. Diety is mostly on a white background, with occasional forays with a bit of set design, outdoor stuff, location. but that show is all about the writing and delivery. Not a "real" sitcom.
Oh, and they got a Photoshop show. (http://revision3.com/pixelperfect/)
My best thought about expanding into a more entertainment direction would be some sort of reality show, cheap, easy, no real hardcore writing, one set/location. Think Geek Gone Ludite. Put mostly geeks and a few non techs in one place for a while, take away most or all tech, see who survives.... hahaha

the other option is a straight up comedic small cast thang, like Ask A Ninja or Hope is Emo or Tiki Bar. One set. great writing, strong cast. and Never more than 15 minutes. If I want to just zone out for an hour or two, I'll sit on the couch and watch tv/dvds. IPTV are really just fun distractions between other computer chores/entertainments/information.
