i'm going to vegas for two weeks and i am 22 years old. this means an extra 100+ added to my charge. I know there has got to be a car rental place that won't rape me because of my age. isn't that against the law to discriminate because of age?

oh and I know there is always something going on in vegas. so if anyone has got any open house parties hook it up. PM me.

Dude, you can't post the same thread in two different forums.

This belongs in General.

Thanks.

Welcome to Nevada, yo are going to get hit hard. I don't know your itinerary, but McCallum Airport is at the end of the strip. Taxi/shuttles to most hotels are pretty cheap, and you can get around Vegas (strip/downtown) easily without a car. Infct - having a cr on the strip is a liability - driving is a bitch, parking is in megaplex parking lots the size of a small city, and you can't drink. If you want to head out of town, just rent a car for the day. Alamo and Enterprise (same ompany, but run independantly) tend to have good rates, and are cheaper if rented away from airport. Make sure you take proof of insurance with you ... being under 25, it might help remove some fo the costs.

ALSO, try looking up things like "Rent-A-Wreck".

I'm not looking to be on the strip much. I grew up in Vegas I know driving on the strip is something to be avoided at all cost. It's just impossible to visit everyone and hangout if you don't have a ride because then your stuck doing what ever your ride is doing. if the party sucks guess what your stuck there until your ride leaves. it's not like here in new york were you just hop on the train.

but thanks for the advice and sorry for the double posting thing. didn't know.

Dr. Gonzo recommends the white whale--be sure to pay for the dauly damage insurance. It will come in handy in the desert.

Always remember, while acid may be fun, the good Doctor has to warn:

"We are all wired into a survival trip now. No more of the speed that fueled that 60's. That was the fatal flaw in Tim Leary's trip. He crashed around America selling "consciousness expansion" without ever giving a thought to the grim meat-hook realities that were lying in wait for all the people who took him seriously. All those pathetically eager acid freaks who thought they could buy Peace and Understanding for three bucks a hit. But their loss and failure is ours too. What Leary took down with him was the central illusion of a whole life-style that he helped create; a generation of permanent cripples, failed seekers, who never understood the essential old-mystic fallacy of the Acid Culture: the desperate assumption that somebody, or at least some force - is tending the light at the end of the tunnel."

Some fantastic explanations of the acid crash in that article.

If Leary's trip had a "fatal" flaw Thompson's flaw was homicidal.
