View Full Version : What kind of music is on your MP3 player??
So since we regularly feature independent bands/artists and are constantly on the look-out for new music to put on our mp3 players (and on the show), we're wondering what you guys are listening to right now. What's on your player?
Oh, I should post a link to this week's spotlight:
Thunderheist: Jerk It

It's hard to play catch-up here, so forgive not having a full list... but here are our four most recent spotlight videos... One of my most favorite is the Blue Juice vid. So funny. :)

For some reason I like 80s music... but as I've gotten older I really like 70s soul and classic rock. I like to hear real guitars and bass. I think I like that stuff because of Guitar Hero. I love that game.
I really don't like Rap music. It's so ephemeral. I'm not against the idea of rap or rap in general but its so played out. i think of music as actually playing instrumnets instead of samples or programming beats. i understand that black people didn't have money to play instruments and how the history of rap music started but it's just not my thing these days. And the lyrics of some artists are inexcusable. I used to not care but lately it's really offensive to me.
i've been really into some classical stuff too.

For me its all Australian Pub Rock - mostly 80s/90s, and accoustic covers.
Through in some Nina Simone, Johnny Cash, some Hayseed Dixie, and some Richard Cheese.
It makes for an ecclectic mix ;)

Tesla - We can Work it Out
One of my aunts dated the...drummer...I believe it was. I'm pretty sure it was the drummer. But for sure a guy from Tesla. Believe me, best thing to happen to the guy in his life was to stop dating my dumbass aunt.

HAhaha. I can say they WERE a great band, but I heard them live a few months ago and the lead singer sounds like Cartman now. Seriously, he should hang it up.
