Gary's 101 wines is a good one to have in the collection for sure...

I also recently read "The Billionaire's Vinegar" which tells quite a bit of history about Thomas Jefferson's wine prowess and specifically about the recent (1980s) surfacing of a number of TJ signature cellar bottles (1787-88 Margaux, Lafite, D'Yquem, etc...) which turned out to be fake. Great read... great history.

I ordered (on my Kindle - love that thing ;-) "The House of Mondavi: The Rise and Fall of an American Wine Dynasty" which I look forward to starting soon.

Reading "The House of Mondavi" now... good read. Doesn't focus on the wines so much as the politics, business and family life of the Mondavis. Some good history for California wine tho...
