Are there any sports related shows in the works? Just thinking of how Rev3 might round out their programming a little.

And then ESPN can put Popsiren or System on their network.
Makes sense right?
An entire show dedicated to Segway polo?

I wouldn't watch a sports show myself, but why not? Could get a lot of new eyeballs from the college men, who might discover Diggnation, especially since it isn't all tech anymore. And now Rev3 has a wine show. Scam School is something you might find on MTV or Comedy Central, Pixel Perfect, is more about design/art, the tech is just the tools. and Internet Superstar is about wackos on the web, not the technology of webdesign or tech, He could just as easily do the same show about wackos on cable access tv. TRS is about movies, and games, and such, More pop culture than tech.
Rev3 is still feeding it's original tech audience quality stuff, but is expanding to a more general audience. A sports show would be a big draw if it had the usual awesome hosts rev3 finds, and a twist that makes it different/better than all the other shows.
Heck, the long lost beloved Control Alt Chicken had no tech in it, other than the wacky proffesor bit.

If they did decide to do it, hopefully they wouldn't just plunk in a sports show like G4 did with Cops...
Actually, on second thought. No, I don't want a sports show and if they had one I wouldn't watch it.

Preach on, Brother Badger!
Its not the first thing I'd think of, but a Sports show isn't that far fetched. Rev3 is going to need to add some more "mainstream" stuff. They would just have to put their own spin on it.
If they did a Sports show ala Diggnation or TRS, I think it would be a hit.

Sports is an immediate thing. To do a show and then need to encode it for internet "transmission" just might delay a show too long to make it worth doing. Is Rev3 setup to do a live streamed show like DL.TV?
I assume that you are talking about a sports wrap up show, right? Well ESPN has that area rather nicely covered, right? Several years back Fox SportsNet tried to have a nightly local sports show in each of their markets. That lasted less then a year. Yes, some still have it, some don't. If Fox with the money they have can't sustain that type of programming, could Rev3?
The technical requirements would cost a lot, return on the investment, little.
If you are talking about covering a live event, that would be interesting. Most college and pro sports have contracts with various outlets already.

On a place like rev3 you can't do any ordinary sports show as no one would really watch when they ca just turn on the TV and watch ESPN or NFL network or whatever equivalent in other countries and have up to the minute details and stories.
Maybe if they did the tech of sports (since sports today really do involve technology) the you can have the rev3 audience interested and possible new audience at the same time esp when rev3 is a network geared for a more cult like geekish crowd.
Not like the show every ep will ask apple or windows and what computers they use for the big tron but can use dr kiki to explain physics of certain things in sports or how that ball was made why they went with one design instead of another when designing a new type of helmet or ball or pads hockey stick golf club ..whatever.
If that were the case I would watch.
Because while I do like to watch my NFL and College ball Rev3 won't be the place I come for regular sports talk since it would be over a week out of date each time they do an ep..the tech or behind the science/tech of sports no worries about stats and up to the minute stories.

Scooby Doo Underoos, circa 1973, They are Under my GrrAnimals. Sears Roebuck FTW!

Sports needn't necessarily mean coverage of Lakers vs Seltics <sp> ... it could be more a lifestyle show that highlights different sports.
KRose goes climbing, Swedish interns go sky diving, Producers going to archery or snowboarding ... etc. There are more to sports than Basketball, Football, and Baseball.
Want to put tech into? Through in equipment reviews.
This show has promise - and the bay area is a pretty good base for them.

exactly! don't label it extreme sports, too narrow a niche, and done to death. GeekMoves, or something, or pair up a neckbeard geek with a Personal Trainer host, ala QueerEye, but with jocks/nerds. Show the nerds what life is like beyond their screens.
Kinda fits my "reality show" idea from the other thread

I like it. This is a show I would watch. Let's whip these nerds into shape! :D
Oh, and maybe their trainer could be a super hot chick(s) who wears a thong leotard and legwarmers, a la the chicks in the 'Call on Me' video (or like Kelly LeBrock in Weird Science). That would likely get the geeks off their butts. Can you say 'Motivation'?
