when they had the olympics in salt lake city i happened to walk out of my apartment which was on a nice but ordinary street and the olympic torch hand off was happening right there right then

it was so cool :cool:

I watched the Sydney Opera House get built from the comfort of our Houseboat.

I met caretaker Klot and Emu at the bathtub races that started at our Marina.

And I climbed the rigging of Endevour II when it was docked at the end of the Marina. What a great place to raise a kid.

My daughter met Hilary Clinton while my wife and I were in the delivery room.

I went to Mac World to see a live Diggnation.

i met boris becker at the pharmacy here on miami beach

he gave his name to the pharmacist and i said 'don't you play tennis or something' and he and i talked till my rx was ready then i left

when i told my best female friend she said 'you just walked away from him' (she is a big tennis freak)

Oh, I took a class from the daughter of the guy who created Rocky and Bullwinkle.

a couple of apartments back i moved into this nice apartment but it was very grimy

so i went on a mission to clean it up

it had a gas stove but i did not have the gas hooked up because i don't like gas (asthma) but one day the gas guy was in the building and i got him to unhook the gas line so i could move the stove and clean behind it

it took many paper towels a lot of alcohol and rubber gloves but about 8 layers down i found:

a diamond ring

when i was about seven my older brother was studying karate

he kept trying to break a cinder block with his hand

so i was watching him very lazily and all of sudden i got up walked over hit the block and it broke in half

i figured out later the reason i could do it is because i had no investment in success or failure

by watching him with no real purpose i absorbed the essence of how to and just did it

i never tried to do it again
