Hey guys, I am heading home to Ohio for the rest of the week and I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. Also, I want us to do two things...
1) Name your fav Thanksgiving dish.
2) What are you Thankful for as a geek?
My answers:
1) Pumpkin Cake
2) All of you guys...All my real geek friends from back home are like 7 hours away. Being able to talk to you all about movies, comics, and video games has brought me closer to those passions. You guys have introduced me to some good stuff that I might not have normally checked out. I just wanted to let you all know I am thankful. Now...who do I blow first?

1a. Au gratin ... basically baked potato casserole, but we make it with sweet potato as well as regular potato.
1b. Cranberry Chutney - goes great with Ham or Turkey, and the huose smells awesome while its bubbling away.
2. I give thanks for my wife. 5 years later, and still going strong.
Thanksgiving not an Aussie holiday, but its one I'd love to take home. Its like Christmas without the gifts and religious baggage that goes with that holiday.

1. My grandmother's wild rice and onion dressing, without which there is NO Thanksgiving, even though I have yet to duplicate it properly.
2. I am Thankful for a place to live, wool to knit, and my healthy children. I am thankful that for now my fascist government is leaving me to worship as I choose. I am thankful that I have a place like this to come to and speak my mind. And for my friends, whom I count all of you as members.
Obviously I'm not thankful for my grammatical skills, because I have none. :p

I swear to god, that was my choice too. I can't believe so many of you dromies are as crazy about this too. Just let me ask, is it a homemade kind, or is it basically the french cut beans with cream of mushroom soup and topped with french fried onions? Cuz that's still awesome.
2) All my dromies, but most importantly, Joe Schuster, Jerry Siegel, Stanley "Stan Lee" Lieber, Jack Kirby, Will Eisner, and all the other fine jewish gentleman that helped create comics and graphic novels.

I was going to go with green bean casserole this year, but honestly we do not eat our veggies like we should, and in my opinion there are healthier alternatives to canned beans drowned in soup. So even though I love the greenbean casserole, I'm going with fresh-frozen broccoli and cheese sauce. Because it will probably be the most healthy item on my menu, depending on how you view cranberry jelly.
