View Full Version : Too Human Totally Rad Clan/Guild? and discussion
The game is being released early august in the US (8/5 to be exact). It is said to have online co-op that will have better loot the more people you play with. There have been many fan-sites created about the game mainly creating large communities of players that are now creating guilds. There will be different loot and re-playability. There will be armor sets that have set bonuses much like the sets in world of warcraft. Each class will have its own talent/spec tree that can be respecced to the play style of the player. If you haven't read anything on the game it is an 360 exclusive and it will be a trilogy that you will be able to transfer your character through.
Gametrailers.com has many movies worth checking out or you can check the xbox live marketplace for free dev. diary's.
Also, at the end of some of the videos there is a fake documentary that they are saying is real. It is in fact a fake movie created by Microsoft (the publisher) to create hype for the game. Basically they want you to waste your time googling the information only to find out every site it links to is about the game.
If you pre-order through gamestop.com you get a bonus armor for each class I've heard.
If you're interested in making some sort of Totally Rad organization/guild/clan leave a reply or PM me. Or if you'd like to discuss what class roles will be or what you think of the current class information.
I am aware that the 3 extremely Rad hosts have a preview build that they will be talking about next week, but I figured maybe this thread could also act as a base of there discussion or at least give them an idea of what there viewers are interested in knowing about the game.
well after re-reading some of the recent information I have found out they got rid of the large group games and that it apparently there is only co-op meaning 2 people. Scratch the original idea I guess

sounds like fable 1 hype to me. Never heard of this game before reading the post. But games like this on a 360 almost never work for me. Like Final Fantasy MMO. So I have to pay 50 bucks a year for live then on top of it pay 14.99 a month to play the game? Stupid. Not that I'm saying "Too human" was going to charge on top of live fees but whatever. if it's just two player co op I don't think it would be as cool.

Did you really just compare FFXI to Too Human?? Too Human doesn't have a monthly service, FFXI sucked, and as far as XBL being a former PC gamer it's well worth the 6.75 a month to play over Live. No free service comes comes, except maybe Steam but I don't feel like spending 1k to buy a PC to play on Steam for free.
Now I will agree with you that a full priced monthly service game on top of Live sucks, thankfully there are only two games that do so and they're not worth getting into IMHO.

No, I didn't just really compare FFXI to Too Human. As I stated before, I knew nothing of Too Human (meaning never heard of it before) so how could I compare them?

Sorry, misunderstood what you meant by this line

added more info to my quote to correct my intent. I was talking about games that try to be MMO's on systems like the 360. I don't think they normally work because of the other information I posted (have to pay monthly game fee on top of the live fee). Either way it doesn't look like Too human is going to have that MMO style anymore (per Kash's post).
I hope it will be a good game. I wish mass effect would have had the equipment base that Too Human has planned, or even the co-op. Hoping to get some play time out of this with my roommate. As far as paying a month for things, XBL is worth it in my eyes, all the HD quality game videos, or the demos to try games. I currently pay to play on XBL and WoW and if this game is deep enough and I can do runs like in D2 with Baal, I def. will stick to this game for some time. As far as classes go I'm leaning towards Champion for a well rounded start until I see what style of combat I like more, guns or melee. I also heard they will be releasing a demo, perhaps just rumors.

I've been waiting for this game for a while based almost entirely on the concept, which from what I had heard would be: the good ol' RPG with spells and tech and with choices on how human/tech based you wanted to be would limit either the spells or tech you could use. You could be too human or too technological. I'm not sure if they're still sticking firmly to that concept but based on that I was in. I never really cared about the 4 player co-op but it would undoubtedly be a blast. I was ready to run through this game alone so 2 player co-op is more than fine for me

Well the only people to run through Co-op stuff with is other TRS fans and I never seem to be on when they are. Granted I haven't played my 360 in a while but still.
I usually play at odd hours too, which is why finding people to play with regularly is difficult.

Well, even if I'm limited to playing it through with a single buddy, I was sold on the recent ads they've taken out in this weeks' Marvel comics... I can't find it anywhere online, but it's a great print ad.
To be fair, I've been looking forward to this game since I realised it looked like a Diablo-for-Xbox kind of experience. But with Norse Gods fighting Robots. What's not to love?
Azathoth you should def. give Titan Quest a look, the demo is only 400-500 mb, it's basically diablo 2.5, it also has an expansion pack, you can get a gold pack with both for 20 bucks, made it 2006, exp in 2007. www.titancalc.com to check out how the class/spec work, TRUST ME, I still play it its amazing, instead of Meph runs you go on Medusa runs. Basically spartan/greek mythology.
