Alright, I hope this hasn't been done before. I did search, but unfortunately, out of my terms "must see movies", both must and see were too common and were not included. If this has been done before, please someone direct me to the thread, and then close it before anyone realizes my blunder :D

Ok. I'm 16 years old, living in Australia, and 9 times out of 10 I don't recognize the opening sequence of our beloved TRS. So what I was wondering is if the TRS community would be kind enough as to make a list for me of all the absolutely 'must see' movies that are frequently referenced by the TRS guys, or just movies that are part of movie history, or are pioneers of their genre, or have some other fantastic quality about them that makes them real must sees. Assume that I have never watched a movie in my life, because I have tried to watch some of the movies that have been referenced, but I don't want anyone to omit certain movies because people figure I would have seen them. Believe me, there are plenty of classic movies that I lie about having seen because I am so ashamed that I haven't actually seen.

Thanks so much in advance to anyone who replies, as you'll really be helping to add to my knowledge of movies, and hopefully give me some great movies to watch as well.

-Nik

PS. Sorry for the essay

If you're curious about the TRS Openings go to the wikipedia page and start checking those out. Most of those are timeless and amazing.

Luckily for you someone already did.
iccanui has a list on his signature that people worked on a few months back. Basically its the one's that the guys always talk about and one's that other members of these lovely forums think are must sees as well.

The list is found HERE (http://totallyradmovies.blogspot.com/) and should be just the thing you are looking for. Also the wiki is found HERE (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_The_Totally_Rad_Show_Episodes)

Thanks so much. This should be really great. Exactly what I'm looking for. The TRS community comes through again.

Thanks again

The list doesn't include Say Anything, which Dan, or anyone else will tell you, is probably more than must see.

before anyone realizes my blunder :D

Where you are from, women groan and men blunder.

Aussie films you should know. Malcolm. Dead Calm. The Dish. The Castle. The Late Show (tv series). Proof. Once Were Warriors (NZ). The Thorn Birds. Man From Snowy River. Walkabout. Romper Stomper.

My suggestions varied greatly and some of these are going to be boring as hell to a 16 yr old. But it's up to you, your expectations will greatly affect the way you feel watching these movies.

BTW, buy and send me Late Show dvd's PLEASE !!!!!
