It wasn't the BEST sandwich I've ever had by any stretch of the imagination... but it was a GOOD sandwich. I enjoyed it. I definitely liked it a little better than that guy. The end.

"You know, like our lunch the other week, I went in not expecting the sandwich to be any good but you know, I was surprised. It just fell apart for me near the end and I thought 'Really? Do I have to have pieces of bread and lettuce and pickle all over my plate now?' But you know, other than that..."

If you can go into this deli expecting a decent sandwich then you will be pleased but other than that it wasn't my choice for top sandwich of the summer

The way they crafted this sandwich--toasting the bread--was absolutely genius. At first I wasn't sure about it, but as I got used to it I really saw how brilliant it was.

Dan likes foreign sandwiches ...any chance he'll review a pita sandwich or a baguette sandwich in an upcoing show?

I heard he's a fan of Asian Cuisine.

Not Alex, but I felt the urge to add onto this silliness:
DannyTRS: Now big sandwich news this week, we just saw a peek at the new salami on rye club sandwich, it's being made by Neville Floyd, who made finger sandwiches at the coffee bar on thirteenth street, this is his first big project, Alex, what do you think?

I heard he's a fan of Asian Cuisine.Damn. Unless its coming from a Vietnamese baker (which is French style bread anyway), all we are going to get are noodle epics ... and how much chow fun will that be?

I don't believe Alex would have that much to say about food, I think he's a "good", or "bad" guy, when 'reviewing' food.

Jeff likes when his sandwiches are about something.Does it really matter to Jeff? Provided the sandwich is wrapped in clingwrap, he is fine with it, and declares it to be THE BEST SANDWICH EVER.

Jeff: This sandwich was...PHENOMENAL! It was...everything I wanted in a sandwich. I just...I just loved it so much. I'm just so glad that they got it right, 'cause I was SO excited, from the first time I saw the ads. Loved it. Loved it.
Jeff's freakin' awesome.

Alex: I...was....blown...away. That's the sound of my head exploding (Steve inserts head blowing animation).
Jeff: I am soo sad you feel like that, because I was totally disappointed. I was expecting flair, I wanted to see some panache. I saw none of that... I just couldn't disagree more.
Dan: I...I looove, love, loved it! It was nothing like the fast food shit we eat. You always hear about the Big Macs, the McChicken, the McRibs, all "the micks" ..... (pauses to see if anyone really caught that)...uh oh.

That actually would make a good shirt (I think that's also my favourite line to come out of this thread).

Jeff: I want to sort of kick off some discussion here... and maybe this would be something that would be good to discuss on our forums???... but I want to address the issue of what makes a good sandwich?.... Is it the bread or is it the filling?... You know sometimes you have a sandwich and it's got great filling... you love the filling... but the bread is just... I don't know.... meh?.... What do you guys think?... I think it's kind of becoming important as we start to see the definition of a sandwich kind of broaden...
Alex: Well... I'm not that big of a sandwich guy... I'm more of a beer and steak guy.....but it depends you know?... Sometimes I just want good bread. If the bread's good enough, I'll just eat some bread and maybe some butter or something. It depends. A filling can be really good, but if like... the bread doesn't grab me up front.... I kind of can't be bothered, you know what I mean?
Dan: First... let me say.... I uuuussseeeddd to be all about the bread.... Alllll about the bread. If it didn't have good bread... that's it. Didn't even want to know. But noooowww... I'm kinda more about the filling. I'm tryin all kinds of different filling... I'm putting in some meat.... some salads....all these different sauces... Awesome. So I think it's kind of changing. I swing between bread and filling. Obviously, if it's gonna be a GREAT sandwich... you want both. That's what's so great about the Club.

Can anybody draw a footlong (sandwich) with a flag sticking out of it that says, "Overcoming adveristy"? I'd gladly stick it on a t-shirt template and add text to the backside and whatnot.

Any kind of food review by Alex Albrecht would be a comparison of whatever food vs. cheese pie. Cheese pie would probably always win.
Cheese = fatty food.
Pie = fatty food.
Cheese pie? Dear lord.
