Ok, funny story, I'm playin' Super Stardust HD on my PS3 and the explosion from the nuke in the game is so intense that it blows out the speakers in my stereo, I mean stone cold dead. I was just wondering if you guys had any suggestions for any good home theatres in a box that are relatively cheap. Basically, what's the best I can get for the cheapest price? I'm only lookin' to spend around $100 or a little more..........

Better off looking on Craigslist for a set of speakers to replace the ones you blew out, then save up for a decent amp/receiver. Then add in a subwoofer, a pair of rear speakers, center channel front, center channel rear, and a pair of side speakers (in that order).

I was going to suggest the LG 5 disk DVD upconvert 1080p sound system. But I paid about 219 for it. Check best buy or CC they may have some deals going on with it being the fourth of july tomorrow.

At $100 you might be able to find something, but you'd probably end up spending money on another one within the year when something goes wrong, and the quality is going to be pretty low from the get go. I know several people that have spent around $200 or less for an all-in-one set and all of them have said they regret getting what they did.
I bought a cheap Phillips all-in-one for the bedroom for about $250 to try to save on space to satisfy my wife, and I haven't even had the thing for a year and I'm having problems with the DVD player (of course not until the 90 day warranty had expired). Sound is still good, though it can't even begin to compete with the stand alone receiver I have in the living room.
The extra time and money it takes to save up for a decent receiver and speakers is well worth it. Get new speakers to tide you over and start saving.

I like the Onkyo TITB, you can sign up on there webpage and get a discount on your first purchase. Plus they have a 'used' section on the site.
