My friend and I get into this arguement a lot. He sucks on Batman's cock so hard Robin gets jealous, and I'm all over Frank Castle. So I was wondering, what do the dromies think, who's better? Bruce or Frank?

who could win in a fight or who's a better character? i think we need to decide what the debate here is before we have it. this should be fun.

batman all around, btw.

and if you wanna get down to who these characters really are, frank castle would never instigate this. he would respect batman very much for everything he's done and be aware of it. the only way it could happen would be frank castle getting in the way of batman's gettign someone they were both trying to get, then ending up either helping each other or fighting. and knowing their characters, batman would get hurt, but he would capture castle, and teach him something about himself.

I meant a little bit of both, but "Who's the better character" works fine... for now.

I like the Punisher more than Batman (like I've stated before). I like him cos his character's much more interesting to me. To me it's like when you see someone do something bad and you think, "Man, someone should do something about that", then when you read The Punisher, Frank is the guy that's doing something about it. The fact that he works outside of the law interests me as well. When I read Batman I'm never like, "Hey, this is awesome". Maybe I've read all the wrong Batman comics, but he still doesn't appeal to me. To me, Bruce doesn't have a huge internal struggle the way Frank does. And I know appearances aren't everything but, I hate Batman's costume. It's not as hard hitting as a white skull.

Hopefully that made sense.

Batman Dark Knight Returns, Batman kicking the mutant leader's ass, proving him to be a total savage. That's just one good example though, I'm a Batman fan all the way, so this is a biased opinion.

Yeah, having your parents both killed in front of you must be really easy to deal with. Bruce Wayne's such a ***** cuz he won't kill drug dealers or hide and run like a coward if it saves his skin. **** Batman.

The Punisher is my favorite Marvel character. Batman is my favorite DC character. Batman would win hands down. He gets shot at by professionals all the time. But, it would be a battle to the very end.

Batman doesn't have any internal struggle? Holy shit, you need to read some more Batman :D

My vote goes for Batman also. I'm a Marvel Zombie, but we all know Batman is a marvel character in spirit.

He would kick The Punishers' ass.

Batman. Second best comic book character, ever.

Nobody can win a vs. match against Batman. The writers have made him pretty close to perfection in just about every way imaginable, except for his personal struggles and relationships which is his only real flaw... but he hides all that behind the mask. He's smarter, stronger, and more skilled than Frank Castle.

The thing with Batman is.

If he's jumped by a superhero, Batman will get his ass kicked a lot of the time. If Batman know he's going to fight a hero, he's going to win. No matter who that hero is.

That sums up my opinion exactly.

I have to agree with you, that I do need to read more Batman. But I don't think Batman would kick The Punisher's ass. To me it looks like a pretty even match up. Cos even thought Frank's behind a trigger most of the time, it's not like he doesn't know how to defend himself.

i'll go out on a limb...Spiderman?

Also the best Batman/Punisher Crossover is where The Punisher trys to kill The Joker, sure they made Joker a tough mobster type, but it was still good.

you guys are stupid, it's so obviously, Howard the Duck.

Anyway, Paulsaves, read the following:
Dark Knight Returns (Frank Miller)

Long Halloween and Dark Victory (Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale)
Hush #1 and #2 (Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee)

THEN get back to my ass and tell me Batman couldn't wipe the floor with Frank "I'll kill everything in order to not deal with my real problems" Castle both as a character AND a fighter.

But to be fair, Frank can kill the entire Marvel Universe:

I liked in the "What If" series when Frank Castle is possessed by the Venom symbiote, but his willpower is so strong, he submisses it to his own will and basically owns it, and becomes a new even better Punisher! Epic!

What about Hybrid? Remember him? Makes me think of the Mothman. And now of course there's Poison to add to the crew.

Still doesn't take away from the fact that Toxic is lame.

You forgot Year One, the best Batman story ever (in my opinion).

Hellz yeah B!tch. Lets not forget Hush Returns, Under The Hood 1 and 2.

Your joking right? I havent read under the hood but if your putting it with Hush Returns then im fairly certain its shit. Loeb creates a character that could possibly be one of the few modern day characters to actually be worthwhile and have a lasting effect and then Hush Returns just killed all of it, the story had little no point besides just rehashing and shitting on Alan Moores Killing Joke and was just pointless.

duuuuuuude, no way. DKR 4eva...but that's another thread...and I'd even put Killing Joke above Year One. I think Year One is great, but slightly overrated (just slightly cause it IS really good, not just b/c it rocks and is really gritty, but you really don't know your Batman until you know your Gordon and this is where you REALLY get to know Gordon).

abacus is also right about Hush Returns
Hush1= Batman
Hush2= Batman Returns
Hush Returns = Batman Forever
