I might be crazy but I really enjoy the show on USA Burn Notice. I really like Jeffrey Donovan as a main character, as long as he's a bit crazy. This show is satirical at times but also has some serious times. I"m just wondering am in the only one?
Jeffrey Donovan was in a short lived series (made off of BBC miniseries) called "Touching Evil." He did a good job in that too.

You're not alone.
My wife and I followed the first season and last week we saw a poster in the subway saying that season two starts July 10th.
It was an enjoyable show.

I came to recognize him from a stint he did as a rather dislikeable character on Crossing Jordan (though he did finally come to his senses).
And...no, you're not. Have first season on DVD and waiting for the new episodes to air. I should probably watch the old ones in the interim.

I love how the show is narrated by Donovan's character showing the inner thoughts of a spy and their decisive skills to get out of sticky situations. Donovan has a very Jason Bourne feel to him

No way you're not crazy and I even suggested it to Jeff to watch. this show was refreshing and who can argue with Bruce Campbels re-occuring role.
I like the fact the he isn't a model trying to be an actor but an average looking guy and I have got to get me a pair of those shades. No where near the Jason Bourne character. Our government couldn't turn out that kind of bad ass spy if it tried. it would have to be a cyborg.
Donovans character is more indicative of a real life spy.

I do how it fills in with narration but not enough to pull away from the story. And not everyone will agree. It just fills in the blanks with out cut scenes from the past, or future, or by going into this ultra long scene that just takes away from the show.

Burn Notice = Rad.
A lot of the USA shows are getting really good and this is one of them. I like how each episode can cover a different aspect of what the main character can do as a former spy. Also, it's got that villain of the week feel, plus an main story arc that always makes shows fun to watch.
Bonus points for giving us more new things to see Bruce Campbell in.

I didn't watch it when it hit the screens here in Oz... just couldn't reconcile myself to a show where the main character comes off as ugly and arrogant 100% of the time, without any of the redeeming humanity of Bourne or the natural swagger of Bond.

I actually love this show...it's kind of a mix of all my favorite types of shows (excluding scifi) because they mix very cool action sequences, comedy, some drama but not too much with spot on writing. It's also kind of educational? Well they teach you some cool shit anyway like turning a can of air upside down to freeze and break a lock.
Anyway, I really like the acting even though I don't like at all how they made the Fiona character fake an American accent but at least they explained why she did it unlike shows like House where they higher a British person to play an American.
I am actually not much of a tv watcher, I do watch tv shows every now and then but even the big shows like lost or heroes I couldn't care less about however with Burn Notice I will watch it while it airs which is a huge deal with me as I haven't watched anything as it airs for a few years now ever since my life was enhanced by the greatness that is tivo.

I love this show. Me and my wife only started watching it because we are huge Bruce Campbell fans and we ended up loving it.
