Reported as offensive. Don't use the phrase "gay" with a negative connotation; i'm straight but know plenty of gay and/or bi people who take offense to statements like that, and i do as well.

That said; I have never been a fan of parades in general. A pretty simple solution is to not watch it though, don't you think? I forgot it happened yesterday until i saw this thread...

It is supposed to be for families. Perhaps you've grown out of it, and now uinderstand that Santa Claus, just like the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy are not real.

The parade isn't gay ... your just too old to appreciate it.

Well said.

And being homosexual, that is why I wrote my rude and sarcastic remarks about spiderman, who, though a fictional character, is indeed a good role model for youth.

I didn't really mean to offend, but sometimes a total "throwback" is the only way to make a point. "Gay" (even though I don't like that meaningless word as a reference to those of us born with a predilection for the same gender for love, romance and, yes, sex) should not be used as a pejorative in a public forum.

I do like the new title of this thread. But I am not sure who changed it. If it was the original poster instead of a Mod, then bravo to you for coming up with a better title. If it was a mod who changed it, no big whoop, but I would prefer other people who came across it to see it as it was, and then see it how it was improved in the course of this reasonable conversation.

I think the world, in a small way, can become better when a young man can acknowledge the differences in his fellow man (non-sexist term: fellow human) and change a simple little thread title in a way that shows he has learned something that will help him grow into a well rounded human being.

Still. I hate parades too. What an utter waste of perfectly good airtime that could be filled with luscious Rev3 type content. :)

To be honest, I don't think regular users can edit thread titles.

A complaint about the title was received. The topic title was editted. End of story.

I hope that you are joking in your post ... otherwise I WILL be hitting you with the ban hammer.
