Just wondering in anyone else has a distraction now to notice the "cigarette burns" in films. I have yet to see a film that I don't notice them in.

Thank you, Tyler Durden.

Yep, I never noticed them until I watched Fight Club. One of my favorite movies by the way....

It's on Cinemax right now, and I watched Wanted this weekend and it struck me that I always notice "the burns."

Its one of my favorites, and I see something new each time I watch (Like how Tyler got his fight speeches from the moderator of the cancer support meetings. Never noticed till now).

"I got it, I got it...shit I lost it."

Actually you won't see them all that much on new films.

and man I love your sig, but you should take the " - slipknot " part off. At least you didn't use the line about slitting a throat and then doing something to the hole.

They are markers for editors or projectinists to put one reel of film after the other. They look like a cig burn and are normally on a frame in the top right hand corner of the film. Movies at theatres get broekn up into normally at least two reels....although, that's changing alot these days.

Must give credit, and yeah Disasterpiece is a good song too.. at least I'm not quoting Iowa, might want to search my apartment after that.

I really don't care for the satanic crap, but holy hot damn they are actually all really damn good musicians. Their energy is abnormal as well, I marvelled at that throughout whatever live dvd I saw. Incredible showmen.

Oh yeah. Now I remember why I'm always trying to see if I can tell where the reels change!

You can also kinda see something similarish when watching dvd's. Ever notice a brief pause in the action on a brand new or unscrathed dvd? That's the laser moving towards the outer edge of teh dvd. Normally dvd players have 3 positions for the laser, so you might see 3 of these pauses for long movie.

That was one of his roles, not that strange.

I think it was more of the fact that he had no name in the movie at all, at least when he wasn't Tyler Durden or Cornelius.

I love that fact about the movie.

No, no, no..he was Jack's bowel cancer.

SPOILER ALERT -

In the book he dies, so I guess his name is Robert Paulson now.
