I remember Alex talking about how impressive he thought Steve's Sony Bravia was and that he bought it himself. Was wondering which TV that was?

I believe they have a Sony Bravia XBR2;

Not sure what size they have though. I've got the 46" version, and it's brilliant.

I have the Bravia KDL-52S3000. I'm not sure of the model Alex has but it is the XBR series.

I have this, Sony Bravia KDL-40V3000, and I love it. Wish I had an XBR though.

Damn ya'll I thought we were livin' in a recession.
I'm ready to purchase a new tv for myself but my company has been laying people off pretty steadily for the past month so I don't want to take on any credit until I don't have to worry about my next paycheck.
52" TV must dominate the living room. It sounds amazing.

I've got the 46" and it's amazing. Drool worthy. Highly highly recommended. I was going to get something a bit smaller and cheaper but once I saw it in a store I had to have it. Have fun with it!

Shoot man, we've had a TV in my house since 1991? I wanna say. Thing is a beast. It's the wooden box, but the speakers in that thing are better then the TV I bought 4 years ago (not HD). Household is finally getting 1 this Christmas. But our older ones still hold up pretty well. If systems and TV weren't going HD I would never have considered upgrading. I can't play a lot of my games from far away on a SDTV anymore though.

I've been totally ogling Sony TVs in my hunt for a new TV lately, but i just can't see me putting that kind of money out for it. They aren't overly expensive, but I'm just looking for a 26" for my room and the price doesn't go down enough, and I don't use it enough, to justify the price. Especially considering no matter what I buy it will beat the 13", 6 year old TV in my room right now.

Alex has an XBR4/5, Steve has a regular 1080p 2007 Bravia.
I spend way too much time on AVS. Its pretty sad when you think the one flaw in TDK was that Bruce Wayne used a Westinghouse LCD.
