perhaps i should have taken this pic before we played football with the locals, but here i am, giving jeff cannata a run for his money in the sweating department. jamaica in the summertime may just be as hot as the TRS garage studio.

i just returned from a mission trip from jamaica, where we worked on a church and got an incredible chance to get to know real jamaicans away from all the tourist ports. we did heavy labor during the day and played football (soccer) with the local neighborhood kids for a couple hours every night. at 40 years old i kept up the youngsters pretty well. every 12-16 yr old on the field had an ankle breaking step over move. it was really fun to watch. i gave "maro" (pictured) a diggnation shirt in hopes that he'll blow some diggr's mind later on.

peace, danno

Did the sweat melt the logo away?

also, is it irony to give a tshirt from an internet show to a kid who probably doesnt have internet?

my TRS shirt is as rad as the day it left jinx HQ, and, oddly enough, the internets are available worldwide. a few blocks from the playground there's an internet cafe where you can buy a half hour for the startling sum of $100.... JSD, which is about $1.40 USD.

i can't help it, i'm just a sweet guy.

possibly Haiti, but not til next year, i've just blown all my vacation time on this trip. my local church provides 1000+ solar ovens per year to haitians and trains them in how to use them to make their water drinkable.

but, jamaica will always have a special place in my heart. the land is so beautiful, and the people are so full of passion, humor, and grace. i feel very lucky to have gotten the chance to meet real jamaicans, at least suburban kingston's version. it was also an experience in itself to be a minority, we didn't see a white person for days at a time. i plan to go back every few years.

thanks for the kind welcome to these forums, i've been watching since episode one but haven't jumped in here til now.
