glad you felt the need to register to comment on this.. I considered posting a similar comment but was going to make it a poll. Not sure how/where Jeff got the pronunciation he uses but it's interesting.

You can't spell earth but you feel the need to correct out people say things?

dunno...it's rather diabolical.

Yea, it is kind of annoying that Jeff pronounced it wrong. I could understand if it wasn't for the fact that Diablo is a big name series. It'd be like pronouncing "Star Trek" as "Star Track"... oh wait, lots of people do that.

dunno...it's rather diabolical.

If Jeff got it from that, i.e. assuming the pronunciation. Then that just means Jeff was never into the series or even heard anyone talk about it, ever.

:-) and what is "correct out" is that like Wite-Out?

Yea, it is kind of annoying that Jeff pronounced it wrong.

It is usually more sophisticated to use the diphthong, which is the choice I made.

Corrected, I won't make the mistake again. Thanks, guys.

It must suck to have everyone hanging on your every word ready to point out minor mistakes.

There is no bad publicity, right? =)

I find it strange that someone would use their first post to point out the odd way Jeff pronounced Diablo, but it's no stranger than anything else that goes on around here.

To give a voice to the minority (as if Jeff wasn't a fitting voice) I pronounce it wrong to. I won't now. But I always did.

eh, it's cool Jeff. The thing with me was not just that it was wrong, but it was just slightly off. Next time you want to be sophisticated, make it more evident... though I think if you had with diablo it might come out sounding like your a hick.

What did you want him to do, stick his pinky out as he said it?
