does that even qualify as a gift? I mean a damn mug with my name over it? seriously WTF? I dont even drink coffee, and I know its thanksgiving and she didnt have to give me anything but why that? I was sooooo happy when she called me and told me here is a present. At a moment I thought it was a Nintendo Wii, Cause she is rich as hell, and then I put my hand it and its a stupid coffee mug...
She mine as well not have given me anything, but then again I should have expected it, she gave me a Religious Monopoly game last year

That has got to be a fun party game.
Oh Gavilan - Lacoste?? The shirts with the aligators?? Wow - say hello to the 80's again ... and coffee cups make great pen holders on desks, or places to throw your loose change.

"She" should have bought this (http://www.amazon.com/Eats-Shoots-Leaves-Tolerance-Punctuation/dp/B000IU3E5A/sr=8-1/qid=1164402635/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/002-8813893-1262461?ie=UTF8&s=books) for you. ;)

Dude. Aunts are cool. They are like puppies and kittens. Unconditional love. Some might know you well. Some might not.
Some might know what is a cool present to give, and some are totally oblivious. Some Aunts (and uncles) might be rich as Gates and be clueless about what will please you. Some may be broke as hell and still save their pennies to give you "just the right thing" within their budget.
But I can tell you. Aunts and Uncles are gifts from God. The presents they give you, expensive or not, are meaningless. It is the fact that they love you is all that matters. And they will always love you.
When you reach a certain age, (an individual thing, can't tell you when....) you will understand that the love of a family member, (brother, sister, aunt, uncle, cousin,...) may be your only connection with what is important, a family member who will always support you. They will support you in a way that a friend, lover, even a spouse, never will.
Unconditionally.
It will be a huge thing when you get older, and life gets more complex, and the inevitable tragedies happen in your life. Big or small. Broken heart. Dying parent. Sick sibling... it will be your aunts, uncles, and cousins who will be the ones who will support you in the future.
As a youngster, you may not think about this now. But it will happen. And they will be there for you.
A mug with your name on it will be your connection to them for ever more. It will be more meaningful to you ten years from now than you can possibly imagine today.

I hear you there but what bugs me is when you and a family member exchange gift ideas. You go out and buy them a gift or two that they had asked for. Then when the big morning comes, you open a box with a Christmas ornament in it from Speedway. You know, the one you get for free with 8 gallons of gas. Worst part is, it wasn't a gag gift. They really thought my wife would enjoy this ornament. We dont even put up a Christmas tree, I didn't know what to do with it.
