I was pretty hyped for this game after I heard about the loot system and it's 'Diabloness', got a little discouraged after hearing Jeff on the last TRS and Garnett on the last 1up Yours, but after playing the demo I've got to say I'm sold. The combat has a pretty steep learning curve (well for me anyway), I just played through the demo in 55 minutes and I wasn't having fun in combat until the last couple battles, but when you wrap your head around it and your sliding around with combo rank 3 it's very cool.

It's a decent game, but definitely getting too much attention. The controls feel a bit unresponsive and the lack of an auto-lock or run button can get under my skin. I don't like the choice to use the right analog for combat mostly because my thumb started tiring out after so much rapid left and right and up and down and up again. Gameplay is much better than what you would think from watching the trailers though. I was a bit worried about animation, but the animation looks fine.

Overall, I don't think it's a buy for me. Well, maybe. I mean, the hour I spent playing did fly by, so I guess a part of me enjoyed it. Depends on how long it is.

The download should be about finished for me now.... I really want this game to be good, because the "diablo type" games seems like a lot of fun (though I've never actually played Diablo!).

No. But its still a lot of fun. I had a really good time just trying to get more armor and every time i picked up a weapon or piece of armor I couldnt wait to level so I could try it out. I had such a good time with this demo. I can't wait for the game. The only thing that bugged me was the aiming wasn't always as precise as I wanted it and I got annoyed at no sprint/run functionality. Still a great game though, can't wait for august

Loved the demo, I had such a blast running around just sludging people with my hammer. In saying that, I could see people who don't like dungeon crawls hating it.

You spoke of rapid left right movement. It took me a bit to realize this but you just hold you stick to the direction you wish to attack, moving from one enemy to another, effortlessly.

I'm not sure about this game, I was ready to drink the Kool-Aid, had my cup in hand, but when I played the demo I don't know....... Loved the story line, just that damn camera kept screwing me up.

I think for me I would need more info. I've come to find that games with skill trees really piss me off. I spend 80 hours making this epic character to find out that I didn't take the one shitty skill that's needed to kill the last boss. It's my own fault normally I don't read all the info that's needed to get into these games.

This demo should of had some level of co-op as that would be the only reason I would get this game.

Well, you can respec pretty easily. At least, I think you can. I saw the option but never did it, so I don't know if it costs anything to do that.

I liked the combat, it was easy and satisfying. Just about everything else was pretty "meh" though.

This game needs to be $40, especially considering the online part has been all but completely gimped. Co-op is alright, but the main fun of Diablo 2 came from having all of the different character classes teaming up to do runs.

That'll never happen.

I was really rooting for this game back when it was announced and then the whole bad coverage started and respected that they pulled back to work on the game longer. But after playing the demo, I really have no expectation for this game to break past high 70% average. I never felt really in control, or if I did it lacked any oomph or impact that I really like in games. I've never been a fan of floaty mechanics, especially not in a hack'n slash.

Played through the demo last night and I really enjoyed it. This isn't normally my type of game, I'm certainly no Diablo fan, but the combat and hints at the story here really got me. There are some minor issues with the engine and the graphical quality in terms of polish, but overally I had a blast. My biggest complaints are the learning curve and apparent lack of AI in the enemies. Seriously, who would fire a rocket into a mass of their own troops just to get one enemy?

Really enjoyed it.

Man, I haven't had this much fun with a game in a while. I was pretty hooked on the cinematics as well...I think I need to actually try Diablo 2 for the first time. It's pretty much the same as Too Human, right?

Same style of game with less engrossing combat.

I found the camera frustrating, and the combat clunky, but the appeal to my inner loot monger was off the chart... I wanted it to keep going when the demo ended so I could keep collecting more stuff.

Yeah, so I finally heard about doing things to be able to play other classes in the demo. Not sure why they made it so weird to unlock them (instead of just beating it and opening a new class), but I figure I'll give it a second or third go with the other classes.

I played the demo last night. I had fun... Which is very odd considering I think the one stick to attack, one stick to move, and virtually no camera control is fundamentally broken. Yet when the demo was over I was really disappointed. Go figure!!

Berserker is by far my favourite class after going through them all.
