When I watched the Dragon Age trailer (http://www.gametrailers.com/player/36033.html?type=) at the start of the E3 coverage I wasn't sure what to make of the game I had been so anxious to see, but after watching some interviews (1UP Show (http://www.gamevideos.com/video/id/20149), Game Trailers (http://www.gametrailers.com/player/37132.html?type=)) and then seeing this gameplay footage (http://www.gametrailers.com/player/36932.html) instantly turned Dragon Age from a title I was somewhat nervous about (silly me doubting Bioware) to my most anticipated game of 2009.

Baldur's Gate was the first RPG I ever played, and it will always have special place in my heart, but Baldur's Gate II (and TOB) is one of the best RPGs I have ever played, I have gone back and played that game time and time again over the years and the thought of getting 'Baldur's Gate II in 3D' has me very excited.

The trailer did not thrill me, either, but the gameplay footage seems to combine some of the best aspects of Baldur's Gate with Mass Effect. Bioware is really great about using aspects of previous games that worked well and improving upon them. It'd be fun to go back to Baldur's Gate and then play through all of Bioware's game in order of release to see how the developer has progressed.

Looks cool. Looks waaay better than NWN 2 in my opinion. I just hope the story isn't the typical RPG story they always put on these games.

Yeah, I was really dissapointed when they showed the generic cutscene trailer thing during the microsoft press conference. I still had still had confidence, but that had more to do with Bioware's track record than anything I'd seen about the game.

But then I caught the gameplay footage and interviews (especially the 1up one) and I'm hooked. Very excited to see where this goes, though as usual I'm worried about it being pushed back indefinitely.
