Hey everyone, I'm looking for the best program that does virtual desktops for windows XP. I've seen it on Linux and on OS X, and it makes me jealous:mad:.

VMware offers a free VMware player to run pre-built images. the guys over at http://www.mokafive.com/ have made a good UI on top of VMware's engine and download database of 100's of pre-built VM machines. The fearless browser is really nice for searching around the nether regions for the internet. if you want to make your own for free I recommend http://www.virtualbox.org/ or just use a website like http://www.easyvmx.com/ to create a "blank" pre-made image and just run the install CD of whatever OS you feel like.

You misunderstood stood him. Basically virtual desktop allows you to group windows and switch between the group of windows.
Google found this: http://virtuawin.sourceforge.net/

Take a look at Dexpot - http://www.dexpot.de/index.php?lang=en
Gives you virtual desktops on all versions of windows. You can also make certain apps automatically appear on a different virtual desktop. For instance have a desktop for web browsing, another for email and im and, and another for other stuff.
