So time to admit something sad. I just recently as in only a month ago came across this show. My sister mentioned the show to me one day and with that I went out online and "found" some of the episodes and watched them. The week the dvd went on sale I immediately went out and bought it. This show is a geek love letter filled with so many pop culture references that I just can't get enough of it. Simon Pegg and Jessica Hynes are brilliant writers as they pretty much channel all the things I love about film, tv, and comics all into this show about two twentysomethings who lie about being a couple just to get a flat.
For those who've seen the show what have you thought about it? And if you haven't seen the show go to youtube. All the episodes are up on the site.

I just went to the Space marathon here in Austin with Simon and Edgar in attendance. We watched all the episodes, and every 3 or 4 they'd come out and do another Q&A with the crowd. They were pretty hysterical. Edgar: "When I told my brother that Phantom Menace sucked he'd reacted like I'd said our mother was a whore." Immediately after Simon was asked if he had a story about the related episode. "Well, one night I was paying Edgar's mother for sex, and..."
Show is incredibly funny. I'm definitely buying this set.

At least I'm not alone.
Really think the guys should do a tv section on this. Would be interesting. That and it's the summer so they still have time until the fall program schedule resumes.
if you haven't seen spaced well here's the first episode

They need to take a pause from the Hollywood thing and tape Series 3 soon.

They need to take a pause from the Hollywood thing and tape Series 3 soon.
They talked about that and a possible theatrical version, but it sounds like neither one will happen. neither one of them really liked the notion of bringing it out as a movie, and they both felt like things had changed so much for them that series 3 would be so unlike the first two that it might do more harm than good to the show's reputation.

I'm soooo glad that an American version wasn't made of this. I simply don't think it would of translated... then again they did the office fine didn't they. Still, it's great the way it is imho.

I really really really love this show.
Simon Pegg is such a genius in my mind. I would love it if the guys did a TV section on this, but for some reason I don't think they would like it very much.

I'm pretty sure Dan's a fan and I would be suprised if Jeff didn't enjoy Spaced. It really was the perfect blend of geek director with geek actors. I'd like to think Spaced is something like what the TRS guys would make, if they were tasked with creating a serialized television series based around all things TRS.

I had wondered what happened to that. Did they officially announce that it wasn't going to happen?
While I was at SDCC, I was wondering if the Spaced crew had confronted McG about it.

promoting the fact that Spaced is now available on DVD in the US, Frosty from collider.com interviewed Simon, Edgar and Jessica... or at least he planned to until "a large piece of the Millennium Falcon" fell on his head, sending him "a bit weird".
So Simon Pegg conducted the interview :D

It should be noted to all of those who want a third series the show is almost ten years old, isn't it? FAR too long for a follow-up. Which is fine, in my opinion, I hate late sequels and the series works so well on it's own.
